Mon Village Restaurant reçoit des éloges pour un service chaleureux et attentif et une ambiance chaleureuse et rustique, avec des clients qui saluent des portions généreuses, des ingrédients frais et des plats qui vont du steak bien cuit au poulet moelleux jusqu'au rôti et aux Coquilles Saint-Jacques, le tout dans une atmosphère accueillante près de la cheminée; le menu est varié et offre un bon rapport qualité-prix, et beaucoup de convives affirment qu'ils reviendront, même si certains témoignages notent des services parfois plus lents, des heures d'affluence et une certaine irrégularité en cuisine depuis la pandémie.
We went to mon village just before christmas 2025. I asked if the French fries were thick cut. They said yes so I opted for the fries with my meal which was chicken brochette. When our meal arrived the brochette was cremated & charred, the peppers were black & the chicken was dry & horribly overcooked. Frankly it was inedible. The chips were cooked in oil that was patently very old, the fries were oil soaked, brown sour tasting & floppy. The best part of the meal was out of a packet, which was the pate. The bill was over 100 dollars including a glass of wine & a beer. It was far & away the worst meal I have had in 23 years of living in Canada. Dont order the fish & chips either. They were bad the time before when I went but I decided to give it one more chance. We wont be going ever again. If you must go, just go for a beer. The building is full of character.
At one time Mon Village Restaurant was the play to go & their french onion soup was the best , but last night experience was the worst !! First the roof was leaking on top of the head of my friend then they changed our sitting arrangement & brought up stairs where I had a broken chair after asking the waitress for a new chair..her comment was I don't know where to get another & started to take drink orders are you freaken kidding me. I had to stop her to find me another chair it took her about 10 minutes she came back with a chair with the center missing.. I had sit & not move .. when our order came another friend order mush potatoes & it was cold like they took it out of the fridge & never even try to attend to warm it up .. another friend & myself order the french onion soup & it had no onions & tasted like bread & broth cause that's what was in the soup bread !! Only bread totally disgusting & disappointed!!

Mon Village Restaurant used to be one of our favourite spots before COVID. The food was consistently excellent, upscale, & we always left feeling very satisfied. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, our experiences with the food have been unreliable. Dishes are often overcooked or dry, which makes them less appealing than they once were.
We still return from time to time, hoping the restaurant will regain its former glory, but the results have been hit or miss. That said, Mon Village remains hugely popular for good reason. The staff is consistently amazing, welcoming, & professional, & the restaurant benefits from ample parking, which makes visits easy & convenient.
Overall, the atmosphere & service remain strong, but we hope the kitchen can once again match the high standard that originally made this restaurant a favourite.

Absolutely fantastic. If you enjoy a rustic & authentic vibe at all, you'll love this experience. We will definitely be back many times. Best prime rib I've ever had in my life 👌🏻
We loved this resto! Really good food! Fast service (with tons of smiles). Good portions. Very cosy atmosphere. Beautiful central fireplace. Everything was good! We will certainly go back.
Such a nice experience. The food hit the spot & the service was perfect. The atmosphere is probably the best part about this place, really feels warm & cosy in the restaurant. My wife & I enjoyed the Mon Village Coquille St-Jacques & the seafood pasta, both dishes were delicious, especially on a cold winter day. We will be returning, nice rustic gem of a restaurant for locals.
The best restaurant i have ever tried so yummy & so generous & presentation is remarquable the chimney gives the excellent ambiance

I've been taking my family to Mon Village for a few years now. Always great good & service. I wanted to give a shoutout to Denis for making my 4 year old son's last visit extra special & giving him a tour of the restaurant & making him a paper clip chain, he's still talking about the experience 3 days late
