Mon Village Restaurant reçoit des éloges pour un service chaleureux et attentif et une ambiance chaleureuse et rustique, avec des clients qui saluent des portions généreuses, des ingrédients frais et des plats qui vont du steak bien cuit au poulet moelleux jusqu'au rôti et aux Coquilles Saint-Jacques, le tout dans une atmosphère accueillante près de la cheminée; le menu est varié et offre un bon rapport qualité-prix, et beaucoup de convives affirment qu'ils reviendront, même si certains témoignages notent des services parfois plus lents, des heures d'affluence et une certaine irrégularité en cuisine depuis la pandémie.
Once, I had an excellent cheese burger, great fries & descent nachos on seperate occasions & decided to return once again for a birthday. What a monumental letdown this time around (Saturday for lunch). The worst nachos & equally lame ceasars salad. Sub-par in all respect except for my beer. So utterly disapointed vowing to never go back.
Surely the cook was having an off day or had no clue what he/she was doing. Why & who in their right mind, uses orange cheddar in nachos. Monterey Jack is the best & proper choice, while cheddar cools off too fast then becomes a hard coagulated lump. Whatever small cheese quantity was used, it was just thrown in the middle leaving 3/4 of chips bare. The sour cream was way to thick to dip. Salsa was gag inducing.
Just an awful plate of an otherwise meal that is so rediculously easy to make. Two monkeys could have done a better prep.
Beer was delicious however.
Ceasar's salad ? I do not have enough time to critique that attempt.
Never ever going back there again. Lame & only fit if you enjoy a third rate meal.
Get rid of the cook(s) or at the very least.. go back & learn the basics.
Makes me upset just to think about the raw deal & paying that amount.

What a gem! We went for a early Sunday dinner & had a lovely time.
The food was lovely. I have to say, the veggies were cooked perfectly 👌 they were hot & soft, with a bit of firmness still to them. So many places overcook veggies & the come so soft if not mushy.... but not here. The brightness they add to the plates was refreshing to see. The steaks my table had were cooked to a perfect temp. One had a medium & I had the mid-rare & you can see the difference. Both spot on.
The chicken dishes my other companions had were just as nice, & moist.
The service was attentive & very friendly. Dennis'the Menace' (our server) made us feel welcomed & feel like he knew us. He made a playful joke & the end that referenced a joke we made with him while serving. It showed he took an interest in us while we were there.
Look I could go on & explain that I was worried when I saw the menu had so many choices, & that I thought that they would not be able to keep it all fresh.... but saw no sign that ciuld be the case. Dont tell but even was checking out the other tables food.... their burger looked so appealing & I had just finished eatting.
I saw about a dozen beer on tap, & enough glassware hanging that I would bet that on a Friday or Sat it wiuld have a nice atmosphere.
If you are in the area this is a great place to go. Right off the highway & has such a charm to it.
I dont give 5 stars often but if I had to pick a complaint.... it would be that they brought the sauces for the main during the appetizer service. So I am not taking a star off for that.
I have been there a few times each time disappointed on food quality spent 190.00$ & left my food there the so buck was not what an so buco is supposed to be very dissatisfied .
The portion are hudge but the food was disappointing. The service was great, we went for lunch so there was not many patrons. Great place to celebrate your grand parents birthday...

Overall nice eating place, clearly the staff was well trained
They go the extra mile to ensure you have all you need. The service is fast & friendly. Had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, making it perfect for a relaxed evening with friends. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, & every dish arrived beautifully presented. I especially loved the fresh ingredients & balanced flavors in each bite. From appetizers to dessert, everything tasted thoughtfully prepared & full of character. Portions were generous & prices felt fair for the quality. If you're looking for delicious food, friendly service, & a comfortable atmosphere, this place is definitely worth visiting. I will absolutely be coming back again very soon
Mon village est un restaurant chaleureux & si bon!!! J'y vais depuis maintenant pres de 10ans. Par contre, j'y suis allée hier soir avec ma famille, dont un enfant de 10ans. On s'assoit & on ne reçoit même pas de menu pour enfant. Bref, on n'en fait pas tout un plat & en demande un. Ensuite, littéralement 2min après s'être assis notre serveuse arrive pour nous demander ce qu'on allait prendre à boire, mais nous a à peine laisser le temps d'enlever notre manteaux. De plus, en recevant nos plats, il y avait une erreur. Après les avoir tous reçu sans faute, jamais la serveuse est venue nous demander si toute était correct, personne venait remplir nos verre d'eau vide. Ainsi la plupart avaient finit de souper mais l'une des ados n'avait pas finit & la serveuse s'en presse de venir donner le reçu & faire payer tandis que qu'il y en avait une qui avait encore son repas devant elle & mangeait. Je tiens à dire que le resto n'était pas très remplie puisqu'il était seulement 17h quand on est arrivé & a seulement 18h elle est venue nous faire commander. Bref, de toutes les années que je suis venue vous voir jamais je n'ai eu un tel mauvais service que ce sois de la boss girl qui remplit les verres d'eau ou la serveuse anglophone blonde aux yeux bleues assez taille moyenne qui nous ait servis. Assez déçue du service.
Love this place, the ambiance is amazing. What really made the evening most memorable was the service, it was impeccable. The food was delicious & the proportions were huge! Highly recommend this place.
We've been going to Mont Village for over 30 years & we still keep going. There might have been a couple of times over the years that maybe we weren't completely satisfied, but it never deterred us from going back. It's only normal, we all have a bad day sometimes….. Not withstanding this, we highly recommend Mont Village to anyone who enjoys good food for an affordable price.
