We went there closer to midnight & there were only 2 servers working. Let me tell you they were like Flash 🤣 So quick on taking orders, so quick on clearing out tables. They had about 10 tables & still accommodating more people coming in for a late night bite.
The lady server was funny & nice despite all the pressure she has at that moment. 9/10
We ordered fried rice & salt & pepper pork chops & it was so good!
Best Chinese food in Montreal - hands down! It's quite comparable to my hometown (Richmond, BC.. iykyk!) My favourite dishes are: hot & soup soup, the braised beef brisket chow mein, & salt & pepper squid but honestly, everything there is top notch. What makes Mon Nan even better is the quality service! Betty, Rosa, & the rest of the evening staff are super friendly, welcoming, & have become part of our Sunday night tradition.
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. It used to be open after-hours, unfortunately that's no longer the case but boy oh boy do we have incredible memories of ending our some epuc eveningd there in great company. Must try the: Salt 🧂 pepper🌶? shrimp🍤🦐 insanely good!
15 years of eating at mon nan & counting. A montreal classic with the best chinese food, their salt & pepper chicken is the BEST chicken I've ever had.
If you're headed out for chinese food, mon nan is a must stop!
Delicious Chinese food, over 200 varieties with decent pricing & portions. They're known for the pekin duck combo, general tao chicken & salt & pepper shrimp or squid. I ate there for many years & the staff is very friendly. They have alcohol & other seafood such as lobsters, oysters & scallops (seasonal). It accommodates children & adults around a big table up to 11 to 13 people with the classic spinning top to allow you to pick the topping & dish that you like. This is a family & friends restaurant & perfect for people who like to share a variety of foods from sweet, sour, salty or spicy!
I love monan im addicted to their salt & pepper shrimp its one of my go to's I always come back for it. Their tom yum soup is amazing & so is their ginger lobster. I just tried their fried dumplings & also enjoyed them. Shout out to the owner Joe, such a cool guy! I recommend!
By far the best Chinese restaurant of Montreal! The food is tasty & well proportioned. The chow mein is heaven as well as the fried salt & pepper shrimp. The general Tao is sweet but not very crunchy. This time we ordered but from recent past experiences the place is clean & the staff is efficient & quick to serve your meal. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good spot for Chinese cuisine.
I have gone to that restaurant & ordered from them for the past 15 years, best Chinese restaurant hands down, so many choices, but my favourites are the salt &
Pepper shrimps, the ginger lobster, & the shrimp toasts ! Never disappointed!!
Honestly it's my favorite Chinese resto in Montreal. Haven't had a bad dish. Particular favorites are the scallop fried rice, salt & pepper pork chops, Cantonese chow mein, & the razor clams when in season
