Everything we ordered was a 5/5. We started with a mix of oysters which were extremely fresh & tasty. Each had its own distinct flavour. We ordered the grilled calamari as an appetizer with white beans which was beyond delicious. Then we had the salad molenne which was so simple, delicate & fresh. Our main was the cod. Our waitress was quick to help us replace it when we pointed out it felt a bit room temp & we really appreciated it. The grilled choux was wow, the star of the night. The sauce was glorious. We wish we had bread to sop it up.
The wine was great & we had the basque cheesecake for dessert. Couldn't have asked for a better meal.

10/10 experience. The service was outstanding. Cocktails the best I've had in mtl. The cod was perfectly cooked in a buttery broth. The oxtail cannoli was also perfection. The place itself was well designed & cozy.

I went to this restaurant looking to try something new in Montreal, & I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm & welcoming. The space feels cozy/elevated. It's lively but still intimate enough for a conversation.

We ordered the tuna tartare, bison tartare, cod, oxtail cannoli, potatoes, & a blueberry dessert. The food took waaaay too long to arrive-servers apologized, but no adjustment was made for the wait. (We arrived at 8:30 & around 10pm we still haven't received our main & at midnight I was eating dessert)

That said… the food was beautiful. That's the word. The textures were on point! Flavors were layered & build into every dish. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with toppings that complemented them beautifully. The sauce on the cod was out of this world-I actually had to ask the staff how they made it. Fish was perfectly prepared. & the oxtail cannoli was absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the dessert but it wasn't the highlight. This was easily one of the best meals I've had in Montreal in a very long time. Where looking at about 200$ without drinks & worth every single penny.

Expérience absolument délicieuse chez Molenne. Tout était parfait du début à la fin, autant dans l'assiette que dans l'ambiance. Un immense merci à Miro & à toute l'équipe pour l'accueil & le service impeccable. Nous étions de passage depuis l'Italie &, sincèrement, ce restaurant représente exactement ce que Montréal a de meilleur à offrir. De la personnalité, de l'originalité, une convivialité authentique, une cuisine surprenante & parfaitement exécutée, le tout dans une ambiance à la fois chic & décontractée. Une adresse qui marque & où l'on a déjà hâte de revenir.

Came here for a quiet dinner on Sunday & it did not disappoint. Food was excellent & the service was great.

The only comment I made to the staff was that the salad & the endives were slightly too salty for me. Besides that everything tasted super good & fresh.

We had a fabulous lunch at Molenne. The seafood was fresh & presented beautifully & the confit of trout was delicious. Our server was very helpful & recommended the perfect wine to go with the meal. A wonderful introduction to Montreal & the fresh produce of Quebec.

Le Molenne ne déçoit jamais! Les saveurs retrouvées dans les différents plats sont incroyables. Les couteaux de mer sont délicieux. L'entrée de crudo de pétoncles est succulente. Le pairage avec les framboises rehausse le goût du pétoncle. Quelle belle idée! Le plat de truite arc-en-ciel & les cavatellis sont très goûteux. Les suggestions de Miro pour les vins & les cocktails étaient parfaites. Je serai de retour!

Très belle découverte. Nous avons partagé plusieurs plats & entrées, & tout était très bien présenté & délicieux. La déco & l'ambiance contribuent positivement à l'expérience générale. Nous avons eu droit à un excellent service, y compris des conseils judicieux pour le choix des plats & des vins. J'y retournerai certainement!

The overall vibe of the restaurant is amazing - warm, cozy, & inviting. The service was excellent, attentive, & friendly. We were a bit disappointed with the appetizers: the crab was overcooked & the squid had a mushy texture, which wasn't great. However, the staff handled it perfectly & immediately took them off the bill, which we really appreciated. The squash, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious!

The main dishes completely made up for it - everything was outstanding. The cod & lamb were cooked to perfection, & the gnochetti was so good we actually ordered it twice. The wine list is also fantastic.

Overall, despite a rocky start, the experience was wonderful, & we'll definitely be back!

My dinner at here was by far the most memorable during my time in Montreal, & it says a lot considering how the general culinary experience in the city is nothing short of superb. The restaurant itself is a cozy street side stall with quietly lavish interiors that achieves a perfect balance of being welcoming & special.

The food itself is nothing short of superb. The ingredients used were exceptionally fresh, & the flavours were layered instead of falling into the trap of being monotonous. Service was also personal & welcoming with great suggestions & constant check ins. Definitely a must try in Montreal & remember to reserve in advance to remove the need for a pesky wait.

Adresse recommandée pour tout Montréalais qui se respecte!! Service impeccable & sommelier qui vous accompagne pour une expérience des plus savoureuses. Je suis allée à plusieurs reprises avec des groupes différents & à chaque fois l'équipe a su nous accommoder & nous délecter. Highlights: le chou braisé, les pâtes à l'oursin & le gâteau au Louis d'Or! Merci au Molenne!

We had to wait about an hour for our table, but the staff gave us a nice spot to stand & enjoy a cocktail while we waited, so it wasn't a big deal given the great atmosphere. The staff were friendly & welcoming, & the food was absolutely delicious. Even the cod, which I don't usually love, was incredible
