Le vin, le service & la qualité de la nourriture, dans une ambiance raffinée, m'ont énormément plu.
Je comprends pas du tout le hype autour de ce resto. Clairement, le fait que Loud soit associé joue beaucoup. La bouffe est bonne, mais sans plus.
Les portions sont minuscules, le serveur aurait pu nous avertir & nous aurions pris plusieurs plats à partager. Impossible de manger un seul plat & sortir rassasié. Exemple, mon plat ne comptait que 3 petites pétoncles, sans accompagnement. Impossible de ne manger que ça (& nous avions pris une entrée). Pour ce prix, il y a bien meilleur à Montréal. J'ai senti le personnel très jeune & manquant d'expérience (plusieurs erreurs durant notre service, ce qui arrive) Bref, avis honnête, je ne conseil pas.
Que de bons mots à dire! L'offre de magnifiques produits crus locaux, les plats chauds savoureux & le service parfait & courtois! Je recommande vivement!
Première fois au Molenne & quelle belle expérience! La nourriture est délicieuse & le menu change assez souvent. Le staff est très accueillant, présent & le service est adapté à notre table (nous parlons beaucoup & mangeons très lentement & on ne s'est jamais senties pressées). Vraiment une belle adresse ajoutée à la rue Saint-Laurent !
Nous y sommes allés pour célébrer notre 9e anniversaire le 7 février dernier. Ça faisait longtemps qu'on en entendait parler & nous avions très hâte d'enfin pouvoir l'essayer. Or, nous avons été terriblement déçu par notre expérience.
Les plats étaient bons mais relativement cher pour leur exécution. Nous avions également commandé le canard qui s'est avéré impossible à mastiquer au point de ne pas finir l'assiette qui était la plus cher de notre commande.
Les cocktails étaient toutefois assez bons, le services courtois mais malheureusement lent, plusieurs des plats sont arrivés tous en même temps & nous nous sommes retrouvés avec verres & assiettes vides pendant une bonne partie de notre souper.
Gros coup de coeur pour le dessert, le gâteau au fromage avec le Louis d'Or était incroyable. Un petit plus aussi pour notre serveur qui nous a offert des shooters pour terminer la soirée.
Mais, malgré ceci, malheureusement je ne recommanderais pas ni n'y retournerais, surtout pour un bill de 380$ qui nous a grandement laissé sur notre faim.
What a wonderful evening. We were greeted by the owner who remembered that we were there for a special anniversary. The entire staff was genuine & attentive & they took care to explain the menu items, some of which were new to us. We loved all our choices. The blackened cod & trout were delicious as was the tartelette au pétoncles. We also had the Ragu as an additional entrée & it was also outstanding. The Basque Cheesecake reminded us of our visit to Basque territory in Spain & was large enough for 2. The waiters had excellent choices of wines to pair with our meals. Thank you for a memorable evening.
My date surprised me coming here & the whole team here was incredibly welcoming & warm. We had the best service from the team here on a Wednesday night. The food was impeccable. It was explained to perfection by Benjamin & the drinks were just as incredible. I had two cocktails off the menu as well as a dessert drink off menu. Everything was absolutely amazing! I will 100% be coming back! Thank you Hector, Francois, Benjamin, Gia, & the chefs working!! ✨
Benjamin, Gia, & Hector gave me & my beautiful date the most amazing experience. Shout out Damian & François for recommending to visit, amazing food, service, & cocktails. I have no photos to share as I could not put a fork down for long enough to pick up my phone.
Unreal fresh raw bar. The razor clams were outstanding & everything was as beautiful as it was delicious. Wines & service & vibe were top notch, couldn't recommend it enough :).
Excellent service du fort sympathique Hector. Nourriture succulente. Nous avons apprécié notre rencontre avec le chef talentueux & sympathique. On a hâte d'y retourner. 👌

Cuisine raffinée, mais portions dérisoires pour les entrées & les plats principaux. Environ 250 $ pour deux personnes, & nous sommes sortis du restaurant encore à moitié affamés.
Excellent mix of seafood & meat. We started with a seafood platter that was super fresh with amazing scallops & novel razor clams. We followed with oxtails cannellini & roasted cabbage. All with a electric Mosel (description from our waiter Nazar). All & all happily surprised & will certainly come back.
The food was spectacular! The service was amazing. It was very loud & cold inside, in the winter! Keep an indoor jacket or sth.
Everything we ordered was a 5/5. We started with a mix of oysters which were extremely fresh & tasty. Each had its own distinct flavour. We ordered the grilled calamari as an appetizer with white beans which was beyond delicious. Then we had the salad molenne which was so simple, delicate & fresh. Our main was the cod. Our waitress was quick to help us replace it when we pointed out it felt a bit room temp & we really appreciated it. The grilled choux was wow, the star of the night. The sauce was glorious. We wish we had bread to sop it up.
The wine was great & we had the basque cheesecake for dessert. Couldn't have asked for a better meal.

10/10 experience. The service was outstanding. Cocktails the best I've had in mtl. The cod was perfectly cooked in a buttery broth. The oxtail cannoli was also perfection. The place itself was well designed & cozy.
I went to this restaurant looking to try something new in Montreal, & I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm & welcoming. The space feels cozy/elevated. It's lively but still intimate enough for a conversation.
We ordered the tuna tartare, bison tartare, cod, oxtail cannoli, potatoes, & a blueberry dessert. The food took waaaay too long to arrive-servers apologized, but no adjustment was made for the wait. (We arrived at 8:30 & around 10pm we still haven't received our main & at midnight I was eating dessert)
That said… the food was beautiful. That's the word. The textures were on point! Flavors were layered & build into every dish. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with toppings that complemented them beautifully. The sauce on the cod was out of this world-I actually had to ask the staff how they made it. Fish was perfectly prepared. & the oxtail cannoli was absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the dessert but it wasn't the highlight. This was easily one of the best meals I've had in Montreal in a very long time. Where looking at about 200$ without drinks & worth every single penny.
