Mr. Steer is a true gem if you're looking for that classic, authentic vibe! Walking in feels like a step back in time in the best way possible, with an atmosphere that's all about keeping things real & old-school. The menu delivers exactly what you'd hope for-delicious, hearty food that feels comforting & genuine. Their steak is spot-on, cooked just right with that rich, savory flavor that's hard to beat. & the milkshakes? So thick, creamy, & absolutely indulgent! They really don't make them like this anymore. To top it off, their sundaes are the perfect throwback dessert, piled with just the right amount of toppings to make you feel like a kid again. Mr. Steer nails that nostalgic, good-tasting experience that's rare to find these days. Definitely worth a visit!

Went with some friends tonight each of us with one thing in mind: A GOOD STEAK.
I had the AAA Rib Steak with a side of "Suzie Q" fries & some coleslaw.

My steak was ordered medium & seasoned with steak spices.

It was just right. Juicy, tender, could have used slightly more seasoned but tasted very good & flavorful nevertheless.
The meat quality was definitely AAA grade.

It reminded me of the late Main deli (R.I.P. 😭😭😭) steaks my Dad & I would always order there, Kosher style. Old school.
Simple, honest & good.

I'm no steak expert by any means, myself eating steaks very seldomly over the years, tonight's being the first in over 2 years.

Service was excellent & very kind & warm.
Atmosphere wise...your typical Texas-style cowboy diner look. Don't like the color scheme too much...

Definitely a great Burger joint & now that I know, steaks too.

Mr. Steer is definitely a 1st place rodeo!

Love this place. Been going here for 47 years. They used to give a piece of Dentyne gum on the side of the plate if you ordered a burger with onion, (they should start doing that again). The generosity has changed since the Reno. No pickles in the bowl that was ALWAYS on the table. I ordered a hamburger steak, & the gravy was in a paper cup. Recently renovated, a shocking change from the old. Don't know why they did the Reno, it was great before, very nostalgic. My hamburger steak was cooked to perfection & so was my wife's burger. Service is good.
