Very cute little bar by the canal. Staff were very friendlyView more
Second review:
Came back recently, found this nasty thing (picture attached) in my hummus, got the hummus for free, which felt like the bare minimum. Staff kind of treated it like this was normal
First review:
Super cool venue, very spacious & in a nice location that's easy to get to. They were doing a BBQ out back when I came, & i just missed the last serving of it, but looking forward to coming back again soon!View more
Great beer but there's always a overwhelmingly strong smell of sewage that permeates the baView more
- Good beer
It's been a mixed bag at this establishment for me, leaning toward the negative. Being somewhat of a nerd, though less the consumerist Star Wars kind, who lives a 15 minute walk away, I was intrigued by a place that seemed to cater to gaming nerds & perhaps weird people who liked quality microbrewed beer & so forth. I had a lovely date night there once. I also was turned away for having a baby once, turned away because the place was rented out for a corporate event once with no notice online or outside signage etc., &, recently, kicked out due to the place being rented for another corporate event (although I knew I would be -- though it took 2 weeks of waiting for replies by phone, email, or Facebook text to find out. When I finally got a reply, the person replying was professional). This time, my group had a lovely experience overall, but that was mostly due to us trying to have fun, & the experience could have been much better. One of the serving staff, a woman with dark hair & small tattoos, was quite rude to a number of us, telling one of us she couldn't come in even though the corporate event didn't start for another 1.5 hours, & when several of us tried to talk to her she was rude & unfriendly with us. I got the impression we were not welcome & that she was mad we were there, perhaps due to communication issues between staff... The gentleman at the bar in the blue shirt was nice, accommodating & honest -- though he did say we would have to leave by 6:00 - 6:30 instead of the previously mentioned 5:30 or 6:00 which I communicated to my group, only to have another server clap his hands at our group & tell us to leave at 6 -- again, unclear communication, shoddy service in terms of this other staff member, & the feeling of being unwelcome.
Anyway, I think Memento is a cool place with lots of elements in place to be great, but it kind of has a hollow core somewhat reflective of the surrounding condo developments, where I've never really felt welcome & there is much to work on in terms of communication, updating websites & pages, service quality & so on -- especially when paying $13 something (tax, minimum suggested tip) for a'pint' of beer. I think Memento should decide who their clients are: corporate people with lots of money, relatively-wealthy condo people, tourists, or regular people/everyone, & be more honest & better at communicating this overall, as well as work on the various problems they have while allowing their good qualities to shine. **I did not have food this time, but the one time I did I found it tasty if a bit small on portion size for the price.View more
Awesome bar to hang out for hours & have fun with friends. They have a good selection of microbrew beets to try out & tons of interesting games, from giant Jenga, to ping pong, air hockey, arcade games & more! The vibe is also fun with different sections that have different feelings.View more
Excellent service courtois & rapide.

The place has a great selection of craft beers, good food & an amazing & friendly staff, but what truly elevates Memento over other pubs / bars is the phenomenal ambiance & decore.
The space is devided in a way that each section gives off a completely different vibe, has a different aesthetic & offer different types of games.
Lots of board games to chose from, some retro arcades, photo booth, ping pong tables & dart boards available for everyone, & the best part, they are all free to play.
We will be back for sure!View more
Very cool bar concept! Better go early for the games before it gets busy later in the night!View more
Great location to hang out with friends. They have games from darts, table tennis, old arcade games. Must see bar if you like a good time.View more
View more
We had an amazing time at Memento. I went with a friend not knowing too much of the menu. The place was very nice ans vibrant. Our server, Erwan, sorted out our drinks & gave fanatastic suggestions to our likings. I'd recommend anyone close to the area to give this place a try. From the drinks, to the nice terrasse & chic bar. It is a fun place to try out.View more
Très bonne expérience dans ce bar! Parfait après une journée au travail!View more
Bar branché avec cool terrasse & divertissements au 2e. Poutine ontarienne (frites pâles, sauce liquide & fromage mozzarella). Décevant.View more
While not very central, this microbrewery actually has a good location by the canal & close enough to the metro. There is some parking available for those driving as well. This bar is spacious & brilliantly decorated. There is a great patio too. Beer selection is respectable & of great quality.View more
Nice bar with a good beer selection & great vibes. Their outdoor area & overall decor are quite lovely. Service is also fast & friendly. Definitely one of my favorites in Montreal!View more
La décoration est vraiment superbe. J'ai attendu 10 minutes avant qu'on vienne me voir, mon amie avait une réservation. View more
All beers that I tried were good, nice bar! Sometimes the line gets big, but it's not a big deal.View more
Used to be better. Now they only have boring & very mediocre quality beer. The food isn't good. It has become a bit of a pickup bar.View more
View more
View more
Really cute bar to chill with friends or play games. The terrace is very pretty & there's a lot of indoor seating. The menu is a bit confusing, but that's no big deal. It's well located to stop by when passing by the canal. The only downside was that the live band can get a little loud.View more
The beers are amazing. Food quantities could be better for the price, but it's incredibly tasty. LGBTQ+ Friendly, the atmosphere is amazing with multiple board & bar games available.View more
Jai adOré ce bar ! Un endroit à coup sûr à découvrir. Succulentes bieres maison, Ping pong, Fléchettes, Décor enchanteur, Très bien situé: le long du canal Lachine (piste cyclable), Parking 👌View more
10/10 highly recommend They made me a special small salad as I have strict food needs & they were highly accommodating. Food was of highest quality especially for a bar & for the price. It meant a lot to us to have the food as presented that well. Treated like family by staff. Plus they have free street fighter in the back & cool bathrooms. Just needs a vegetarian entree to finish off the menu.View more
Met up with some friends & was there for over 2 hours last night. During those 2+ hours, not one person came to the table & asked me if I wanted to order food/drinks. I never leave bad reviews (you can see in my google history) but this bar left such a bad taste. I got up to get a drink at the bar & the bartender was not friendly in the slightest. I told him where I was sitting (all my friends had started a tab so I assumed I could do the same) & he said "actually I prefer if you pay now" Do you know how embarrassing that was? Why me? Based on how I look? Isn't this supposed to be a welcoming atmosphere/queer bar? Never coming back here again & will let all my people know tooView more
Great experience. Something I find most restaurants struggle to do is play music at a level that allows you to enjoy it & have a conversation, but you guys did it well.
I never understood why this bar is always so quiet, especially between 5pm & 7pm... I'd say it's probably lack of signage. Even after being here twice I still struggle to find it when driving or riding my bike. The place is quite hidden. Otherwise loved the beers & variety of foods! I didn't even play any games... Which would make my experience even better!
