Great location. Amazing restau features offers variety of entertainment inside. Outdoor terrace, servers needs a little bit of training. Food is okay, drinks are amazing! Recommended to chill, have a little bit of drink close to machine canal..❣?
La nourriture était correcte, sans plus, mais surtout très chère pour la qualité offerte. Le rapport qualité-prix n'était vraiment pas au rendez-vous.
Le gros problème a toutefois été le service. L'attente était extrêmement longue & on avait pratiquement l'impression de ne pas avoir de serveur. Plusieurs tables autour de nous semblaient également frustrées par le manque de service, ce qui nuisait beaucoup à l'ambiance.
Au final, entre la nourriture moyenne, les prix élevés & le service presque absent, l'expérience n'était clairement pas à la hauteur.

Expérience assez décevante ce soir au Memento. Nous étions un groupe installé à une table, avions tous commandé & payé nos consommations au comptoir, puis sommes sortis quelques minutes pour prendre l'air & pour que certains puissent fumer.
À notre retour, tous nos verres avaient été débarrassés alors que nous n'avions clairement pas terminé. Une erreur peut arriver, mais c'est surtout la façon dont la situation a été gérée par la suite qui nous a déçus. Il a été étonnamment difficile d'obtenir simplement le remplacement de consommations que nous avions déjà payées & qui avaient été retirées par le personnel. Certains verres ont finalement été remplacés, mais après plusieurs échanges & sans réelle volonté de corriger la situation.
Dommage, car le problème aurait pu être réglé très facilement & rapidement avec un meilleur service à la clientèle.
What a shame. I've been to Memento Brasserie before & had such a good experience, so I was really disappointed this time. Honestly, it feels like the management may have changed.
The drinks were good & the food was okay as well, although it took extremely long time to arrive.
Where my friends & I really had an issue was with the service & how our table was handled. We went outside to smoke for not even 10 minutes, leaving ALL of our bags & belongings at the table to clearly show that we were still there. When we came back inside, to our surprise, all of our food & drinks had been cleared from the table including an entire bottle of wine.
We spoke to the manager (at least, we believe he was the manager), & while they did give us back one glass of wine & two of our cocktails in small glasses, there was no real attempt to compensate us or properly make up for the mistake.
I completely understand that mistakes can happen, especially in a busy restaurant. However, when you work in hospitality, owning up to a mistake & making an effort to make it right is part of providing good customer service. We were left feeling like our experience simply wasn't important enough to them to properly address what happened.
It's especially disappointing because I had such a positive experience here previously. I hope management takes this kind of situation more seriously, because it really changed my impression of the restaurant.
I saw the negative reviews before coming, but I wanted to give this place a fair chance. As someone who's worked in customer service I know how tough the job can be, so I made a point to be polite & patient. But unfortunately, the service was disappointing from start to finish.
The staff seemed annoyed that we wanted to sit inside instead of on the terrace. The woman who brought us water walked away while I was asking if we could change tables. & later the man with glasses also walked away before I could finish asking a question & seemed so annoyed when I asked him about the type of beers they have. When we eventually moved to another table in a completely empty bar he said'Next time, ask before you go' then walked away while I was apologizing. Unnecessarily rude.
We also weren't told that the trivia prize was a $50 bar tab. We paid for our drinks & food throughout the night as they asked everytime we set an order. By the time we won, there was nothing we wanted to order. A quick explanation beforehand would have avoided that.
On top of the unfriendly service, there were flies all over the dining area.
I really wanted to like this spot because of the trivia nights but I won't be coming back or recommending it.
Reply to your comment: thank you for taking the time to respond. The guy with the glasses was downstairs & has nothing to do with the trivia night. the organizer was actually upset that they didn't tell us about the price & kept asking us to pay for our orders downstairs & upstairs.
