We started with the calamari served with aioli, & it was outstanding. The aioli had a perfectly balanced flavor that complemented the crispy, perfectly cooked calamari.
We also tried the pork, which was incredibly well marinated. The seasoning had great depth, & the meat was tender with an excellent texture.
The octopus was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, & beautifully balanced. Easily one of the best octopus dishes I've had.
Overall, every dish was thoughtfully prepared with great attention to flavor & balance. Highly recommend this place

A wonderful find! We rented an Airbnb that happened to be directly above this restaurant & it turned out to be our good fortune. Not only is the food & ambiance amazing, the staff is absolutely top notch! Not only do they love what they do & have great pride in their establishment, they welcome everyone like family. We found ourselves stopping in just to say hello. If you decide to make the trip to Old Montreal, I highly recommend this spot. Truly a gem & worth the trip!

Good place to grab a bite. I suggest the mixed platter of appetizers.they were out of the wine we picked & out of the greek flambé cheese.

The Taverne Grecque Máti is in the top 3 restaurants I've ever been to. We were there tonight for dinner & everything was perfect.

We started with the watermelon salad with Feta, pistachio, honey. It was refreshing & the perfect start to the dinner on a warm day.

Then we had the Lemon Roasted Potatoes, the Brocolini, Fried Calamari with Tzatziki, lemon, the Grilled Octopus with Caper, red onion, lemon. For dessert we had the Greek Custard Tart & the Baklava.

The service was excellent. The octopus was my favourite as it was grilled but perfectly cooked & still tender. We also really enjoyed the perfectly cooked calamary. The watermelon salad was also a highlight. The food was beautifully presented as well.

Our 5 dishes & 2 desserts came to about $175 + tip. I highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Wow such an amazing experience.
It's my third time coming here & every time I'm impressed. I do not understand how a place can get better & better when every last moment was already the best.
Felix the bartender was such a sweetheart, checking in & making sure everything was good at every step of my experience.
Felix the manager was kind & one of the friendliest managers I've ever seen.
Charlotte the waitress, is super kind & a great conversationalist.

Excellent meal & service. Sat in the rear bar-- when we were seated we were informed if a table became available they would move us. They offered but we found the back bar cozy, great music & excellent service by the bartender.
