one of the best meals i've had in the city :) the interior & ambiance are absolutely gorgeous, & everything we tried was so fresh & delicious!! some standouts were the watermelon salad, melitzanosalata dip with pita, & the greek salad. will most definitely be back to make my way through the rest of their menu 🤍
Highly recommended! First time trying this Greek restaurant with friends & we're amazed with the food, friendly staff & chef! My favorite would be the watermelon salad, baklava with ice cream, the grilled octopus, & the spanakopita. J'adore!
I chose this because it was mere feet from my hotel & looked affordable after several days of eating lux. This was a shockingly spectacular restraunt. The food was insanely good. Get a salad the goddess was perfection. The lamb neck is worth the hype. YEASH if I lived in Montreal I'd eat there twice a month minimum. Yum.

Greek salad was drowning in dressing.
Strange menu. Most of the protein mains are big sharing portions & not individual.
Any feedback is basically responded to with talk back & explanations rather than just correcting or accommodating.

What a gem! Randomly walked by & saw menu. SO glad we went in. Everything was delicious. No reason to not give 5 star. Amazing flavours. Watermelon Salad. Grilled broccolini & Tzatziki.
A little taste of Greece in Old Montreal. The watermelon salad was fresh, crisp, & ridiculously refreshing, the pork chops were cooked to perfection, & finishing the meal with a Metaxa 12 was the perfect mic drop. Great food, great atmosphere, & friendly service. We'll definitely be back!
We got the mati... Which was sushi grade drowning in store bought Italian dressing with pistachio sprinkled on top. The saganaki needed some bread to go with it...as did the mati. Watermelon salad was nice & fresh.

It was so good that I ate lunch & dinner there the same day. Highlights Greek salad, octopus & lamb with the potatoes & of course our sever charlotte!!
The Taverne Grecque Máti is in the top 3 restaurants I've ever been to. We were there tonight for dinner & everything was perfect.
We started with the watermelon salad with Feta, pistachio, honey. It was refreshing & the perfect start to the dinner on a warm day.
Then we had the Lemon Roasted Potatoes, the Brocolini, Fried Calamari with Tzatziki, lemon, the Grilled Octopus with Caper, red onion, lemon. For dessert we had the Greek Custard Tart & the Baklava.
The service was excellent. The octopus was my favourite as it was grilled but perfectly cooked & still tender. We also really enjoyed the perfectly cooked calamary. The watermelon salad was also a highlight. The food was beautifully presented as well.
Our 5 dishes & 2 desserts came to about $175 + tip. I highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
