Honestly, no kidding: there is not a bad choice to make on this wonderful restaurant's menu. I used to go more frequently when I was employed by pharma companies in close driving proximity. But I hadn't been in a while & I am happy to report their quality of food is still topnotch. They have been in business here for 28 years (I asked the manager how long they've been open when I was there yesterday) & with the usual whiplash speed most other West Island restaurants last, this is not a negligible fact. I swear, each of their pizzas (fired up in their infamous wood burning oven), pastas (think fettuccini Gigi, & absolutely any of their options) salads (think best Caesar ever, or candied pears), tartares (salmon, beef, so fresh), table d'hôte, best tiramisu anywhere....seriously no possibility for a bad choice. Yes the prices have raised as with all restaurants with our current economy. But that's everywhere. So on that level playing field, this restaurant is not just for West Island résidents. It's for,food lovers everywhere. Forgot to say they are generous with their portions & offer up containers for taking home seamlessly. Come on!
It was my first visit, & I thought it was fine. The food was good, but not particularly memorable. The salads were fresh & delicious, but the escargots were totally overdone. Our pasta dishes were perfectly fine, but also didn't stand out in any way. The pizza was very good. They did a decent job with the cocktails. The service was adequate, but our server forgot one dish, got another one wrong, & was visibly distracted when we placed our orders & asked questions. I'd be willing to go back, but overall this was a middling experience.
Salade jardiniere 1 quart de tomate & du feuillage. Je m'attendais a us de légumes. Plat principal excellent. Service impeccable. La table d'hôte devrait revenir selon mon opinion
I wanted to order a grilled extreme chicken salad on a bed of greens,tomatoes,grilled red peppers etc . I was disappointed to be told the restaurant ran out of greens. How does that happen.So I ordered a veg pizza which was extremely thin & to oily. My husbands meal was very good.
I have to follow a very strict gluten free diet & I’ve been twice with no bad outcome. Waitstaff is knowledgeable. Several pasta options (pasta is cooked in separate water), salads, appetizers & likely some chicken dishes. I’m sensitive to cross-contamination & have had no issues & two delicious meals. Every meal looks great. Definitely recommend if you want a good meal & need to be gluten free! Only gave 4 stars because they have a beautiful wood fired pizza offering but no GF pizza.

Service was spotty & inconsistent. I also observed an owner server who consistently served the man before his lady guests. What happened to ladies first? Salad served to mr before mrs, main same, drinks also. I was quite taken aback. The lady server knew the gentleman & constantly catered to him.
One. Person in our party, was disappointed with the veal parmesan , too thick a piece. He was convinced it was not veal. Disappointed I couldn't get a meat sauce for pasta, Did not enjoy the tortellini. Soup & salad was very good
Always great food, service & ambiance.
The only little downfall is it can be quite loud ... but one if my favorite restaurants of all times. The arugula salad & pizzas are heavenly!
The service was great with a smile! The pizza & salads were very tasty. I love that they split the meals beforehand for my friend & I. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were a group of 9 people & everyone enjoyed their food. There was a combination of pasta dishes, pizza, veal & salads & everyone liked their choices.
Staff was very friendly & food was served up hot & on time.
Good location in West Island with plenty of free parking too !
The food was excellent with Shrimp Linguine done exquisitely & pizza cooked to perfection. The salad needed more cheese shavings to be interesting. I deducted one star because service should have been a bit more attentive. Restaurant was not at all busy & waiter had to be asked for fresh pepper, parmigiana cheese, & even drinks. Maybe he was new to staff. My cocktail was served in what appeared to be a freshly chipped glass (it was sharp). Drink was replaced but I have a strong feeling the drink was just transferred to a new glass & not replaced because it was returned in seconds.
J'ai essayé plusieurs restos italiens dans l'ouest de l'Ile. Vieux-Four Manago offre à mon avis les meilleures pâtes (je ne parle ici des sauces qui sont plutôt peu raffinées). Les pâtes sont al dente & délicieuses. J'ai testé les pâtes aux palourdes avec la sauce au vin blanc & c'était délicieux. Le menu est assez varié pour plaire & les salades sont également appétissantes. Les serveurs masculins sont à mon avis de beaucoup supérieurs aux serveuses. Ils sont plus professionnels, souriants & courtois.
Un bon rapport qualité-prix.
