February 27/25 = We were a group of 18 people who reserved for 12:30 pm & were very much looking forward to trying this new establishment. Creperies are somewhat difficult to come by in the suburbs. Regretfully, the chef was 45 minutes late & they seemed short staffed as making crepes to order on one grill for 18 people was quite time consuming. My mother's crepe had cheese that wasn't completely melted & the crepes could have done with a little more browning. The menu was limited as not everything that appeared on the menu was available. The dessert crepes were delicious though! Coffee was good, although the Blue Mountain Haitian has a somewhat lighter taste. The chocolatier, Mr. Ralph Leroy, did give an somewhat rushed explanation of his products. Would have liked to try his chocolate truffles but none were available; not even to purchase.
The atmosphere was nice & the background music just loud enough to enjoy our lively discussions. Regretfully, the washrooms could be cleaner with enough tissue paper for both stalls. Regretfully, feel that Makaya Chocolat & Bistro were not prepared for a group of 18 even though we had reservations. It's too bad as was planning on having my wedding anniversary there next month but the experience was lacking.
Chef Ralph delivers a wonderful dining experience. The food is excellent, the hot chocolate is sublime, the service is attentive & excellent & the ambiance comfortable & intuitive. What else could anyone ever want?
Makaya Chocolat Bistro is a must go to spot along the lakeshore!

J'ai été invitée à un anniversaire dans votre restaurant & l'expérience a été tout simplement exceptionnelle. Après avoir visité de nombreux restaurants au Canada & outre-mer, je peux dire sans hésitation que le vôtre est le meilleur. Tout était exquis, la présentation impeccable & l'attention portée aux détails remarquable. Le chef Ralph Leroy ne s'est pas limité à la cuisine : il a pris le temps de s'assurer que tout se déroulait parfaitement, que nous étions bien servis, & a su faire sentir chaque personne spéciale. I love , love this restaurant. I was looking forward to eating there for months now . A friend recommended it. The owner Ralph was personable , made my food on the spot after asking me a few questions . He treated my mother & I so well. We felt that we were having a private experience from the food to the service . The park across the street is a beautiful backdrop for this restaurant . I will be back & I've already share it with Friends I know are traveling to Montreal soon .

What a charming spot that is a mix of a speakeasy & a salon. The chocolate is excellent, & is as sweet as the owner's Ralph attitude.
It's on the expensive side but the chocolate is imported & frankly tastes great. This is not the overly sweet milk chocolate found in grocery stores, for me it justifies the price.
We had a great time. I recommend the crepe with dulce de leche.
Nous avons commandé l'entrée de caviar d'aubergines, un délice ! Ainsi que le chiktay de morue ( spécialité haïtienne) que j'ai découvert le soir de notre visite & qui était excellent! Le propriétaire qui célèbre son anniversaire aujd, joyeux anniversaire Ralph! est très gentil ainsi que son personnel! Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillie malgré le retard de mon ami (à cause de l'état des routes). Ce resto est à découvrir à Lachine! Nous y retournerons afin de déguster un délicieux chocolat chaud accompagné de crêpes. C'est également un rendez-vous les dimanche pour le brunch avec la fameuse soupe Joumo!

The hot chocolate is exceptional & there are excellent vegan options. Ralph, the owner, is very kind & generously remade one drink that, while lovely, was not 100% to our taste. The decor is beautiful & the space is very comfortable. I would highly recommend this gem for the delicious chocolate & the extremely welcoming & kind service. A definite favorite for every trip to Montreal!
Amazing service & very friendly staff. The food was very tasty, we had the crepes & it did not deceive. The person who served us, Ralph, was extremely welcoming & it shows that client satisfaction is his number one priority.
Walking past this little gem I decided to ask to use the washroom as it was urgent. The owner Ralph was standing outside & did not hesitate to let me in. I decided to try their caramel mousse & let me tell you... I could eat atleast 3 of those things back to back lol. I am a foodie & a picky one, I'm also a stickler for customer service & the treatment was A1. So good I returned the next day. Thanks Ralph, for the great experience. 2 thumbs up! Was passing by & ended up coming for a quick bite & a drink. Needless to say 3 drinks, a crepe & chocolate cake later I've found a new place to enjoy a nice afternoon. Thank you Ralph for showing us some great drinks & chocolate! Really refreshing place that is unique & tasty!

We were there on a Wednesday night to do our homework my classmates & I...Everyone enjoyed their food, & the service was great. Special thanks to the owner 💜Ralph Leroy 💜who gave us a very good service & helped us picked our crêpe & chocolate This place wasn't packed, the music volum & genre was good , place was clean, & the aesthetic was very classy. If you want to experience another level of crêpe luxueux i strongly recommend Makaya
