I struggle to understand charging an espresso $7. My wife liked her chocolate cake. Glass of wine was pricey as well but I can tolerate that more than the price of the coffee.

February 27/25 = We were a group of 18 people who reserved for 12:30 pm & were very much looking forward to trying this new establishment. Creperies are somewhat difficult to come by in the suburbs. Regretfully, the chef was 45 minutes late & they seemed short staffed as making crepes to order on one grill for 18 people was quite time consuming. My mother's crepe had cheese that wasn't completely melted & the crepes could have done with a little more browning. The menu was limited as not everything that appeared on the menu was available. The dessert crepes were delicious though! Coffee was good, although the Blue Mountain Haitian has a somewhat lighter taste. The chocolatier, Mr. Ralph Leroy, did give an somewhat rushed explanation of his products. Would have liked to try his chocolate truffles but none were available; not even to purchase.
The atmosphere was nice & the background music just loud enough to enjoy our lively discussions. Regretfully, the washrooms could be cleaner with enough tissue paper for both stalls. Regretfully, feel that Makaya Chocolat & Bistro were not prepared for a group of 18 even though we had reservations. It's too bad as was planning on having my wedding anniversary there next month but the experience was lacking.
Came in from frosty cold romantic walk along the scenic frozen landscape of the majestic Lachine with my beautiful partner. & since we were parked outside Makaya we decided to go inside & indulge in some hot chocolate. The ambience, service, decor, & chocolate beverages were spectacular. 😋 highly recommend!!!
Chef Ralph delivers a wonderful dining experience. The food is excellent, the hot chocolate is sublime, the service is attentive & excellent & the ambiance comfortable & intuitive. What else could anyone ever want?

J'ai adoré! J'ai bu le chocolat chaud'velour obscur' le meilleur de ma vie !!!! La soupe du pêcheur ; sublime !!! La crêpe dulce leche cacao ; à se rouler par terre!!!! Il semble pas y avoir beaucoup de personnel donc peut être est ce la cause des commentaires au sujet du temps d'attente ... Je dirais allez y !! Mais arrêtez de rusher avec le temps & profiter du moment présent!!Vivez une expérience gustative exceptionnelle cuisiné par des gens de coeur!! On devrait s'inspirer de certaine culture ..... On est beaucoup trop stressé & pressé.... Pour moi c'est le genre d'endroit où le temps s'arrête & où il est juste bon d'y être !! ❤?❤? Ils ont même accepté une dame avec son petit chien a qui ils ont apporté un bol d'eau ❤?❤?

D'abord, l'ambiance était un peu ordinaire, on voit que c'est un ancien bar...il faisait aussi très froid dans le restaurant. J'ai gelé toute la soirée.
Repas principal: Le serveur (très gentil) nous suggère le poulet au citron, nous acceptons avec joie. Le repas était délicieux.
Par contre, pour le dessert, je mentionne que je suis intolérante au gluten, il me suggère donc le gâteau au chocolat..j'accepte.
Entre temps, mon amie regarde le menu & voit que le dit gâteau au chocolat est 18$! J'aurais préféré qu'il me le dise avant mettons...(on a partagé le gâteau) Il a dit que le chocolat était très cher...oui je comprends, mais aviser la clientèle c'est la chose à faire.
Pour terminer, je demande la facture. Il vient nous voir SANS FACTURE & nous demande de payer....Bref il manque de transparence dans ce restaurant...
Après avoir marché avec mes amis dans le parc René-Lévesque par temps froid, nous sommes venus ici pour prendre des boissons chaudes & des desserts. L'endroit dégage une ambiance très chaleureuse & conviviale, parfaite pour la période de Noël. Le personnel est très sympathique, tout ce que nous avons commandé était excellent. Cinq étoiles.
D'abord nous recevons des verres d'eau qui goûtaient mauvais. Mon amie devait manger sans gluten, on nous recommande un poulet citronnée. C'était bon, mais il y avait à peine à manger tellement il y avait du gras & 1/3 de tasse de riz. Ensuite mon amie demande lequel dessert était sans gluten, & on lui recommande un gâteau pur cacao, elle dit ok & le serveur arrive avec le dessert... Heureusement, j'ai regardé le menu, le dessert était 18$ (Nous avons demandé à le partager)
À la toute fin, le serveur arrive avec le terminal de paiement, il me montre le total 58$ (un verre de vin pinot Grigio, cuisse de poulet & dessert partagé) je demande combien était le poulet & on me dit 27$! Aucune facture à l'appuie.
Le manque de transparence (sans facture) On avait l'impression qu'on essayait de soutirer le max.$$ Nous avions faim après.
Il faisait froid dans le restaurant. Le service était quand même courtois, mais nous ne retournerons pas.

J'ai été invitée à un anniversaire dans votre restaurant & l'expérience a été tout simplement exceptionnelle. Après avoir visité de nombreux restaurants au Canada & outre-mer, je peux dire sans hésitation que le vôtre est le meilleur. Tout était exquis, la présentation impeccable & l'attention portée aux détails remarquable. Le chef Ralph Leroy ne s'est pas limité à la cuisine : il a pris le temps de s'assurer que tout se déroulait parfaitement, que nous étions bien servis, & a su faire sentir chaque personne spéciale. Bravo au chef Ralph Leroy & à toute l'équipe!
J'ai été le week-end dernier & j'ai été très satisfaite. L'ambiance, l'accueil, c'est différent. C'était très chaleureux. La salle à manger C'était Wow. Les repas bien présenté & très délicieux. De plus je vous conseil le potage , le sandwich griot ...allez gouter cela🙏🏿. Merci Chef pour ta gentillesse & ton acceuil, & merci à la serveuse qui était toujours présente. Aller faire un tour vous ne le regretterai pas😜😜😜❤?❤?❤?❤?
J'ai adorée ma soirée! Service impeccable, de super bon conseils, j'ai goûté le plat macaroni créole un délice j'ai déjà hâte d'aller essayer autre chose.
My partner & I had such a great experience! AMAZING Creole-style dinner, great selection of drinks, such a vibe & the music selection was lovely. The staff were so fun & attentive, & the food was restaurant-style quality with the comfort of a home-cooked meal. Absolutely now in our rotation!
