Absolutely incredible experience. I drive up often from Montreal to enjoy my favourite restaurant. fresh farm-to-table food, beautiful location & very hospitable staff who clearly enjoy what they do. I highly recommend you try this restaurant if you haven't. Try everything on the menu!
My wife & I had the tasting menu here recently in late August. First impressions were exciting as the location is gorgeous, & the restaurant is tastefully designed - with one major caveat.
When you first enter, you find yourself in a merchandise area, which I think is not the most appropriate way to start a meal/dining experience. I'll get to the food but first the aesthetics of the restaurant need to be mentioned. We were sat at the counter adjacent to the open kitchen. Every other open kitchen I've ever seen has been well lit, like a theater set almost, so the guests can watch as the chefs prepare meals. Here, the kitchen was so dimly lit that we wondered how the two chefs could see what they were doing. It made me feel like the decision was made to hide what's going on. Very odd, & frankly an unappealing design choice for the guest.
Now the food - we were first served a cold tomato soup, which was probably the best dish of the evening.
Next up was a tomato plate with two small pieces of bread, completely unseasoned tomato slices, & some miso-flavored butter. This is part of the theme here: fermentation & maceration.
At the same time a plate of'seasonal cabbage salad' was put down for us. There were slices of fennel & some scattered seeds.
The slaw was an odd dish, as I was under the impression that we would be eating farm-to-table dishes that reflect the height of the summer season. Cabbage? Not what I associate with summer.
Next up was a trout'grav lox' dish, with a very tiny portion of trout that didn't have any flavor remotely like grav lox. There was no hint of salt, dill, or other aromatics that you expect from the description. It was served with a garum foam & fish roe. I think foam in any dish just looks so unappealing, like a pool of saliva. So one bite of fish for each of us & it was finished.
Now it gets really odd. The next dish served was braised cabbage with kimchi & a tomato cream. This was the second dish served to us with cabbage. Where were the seasonal summer ingredients? Fresh garden vegetables like zucchini, peppers, corn, carrots, etc. I don't think of fermented kimchi as a summer seasonal dish that says anything about the region or terroir of Quebec.
Following that was a bison two ways dish. The bison was prepared as a tartare, & the other way was pan-seared. The tartare was basically unseasoned, which was a theme throughout most of the food we had. tartare is very common dish in Quebec, as most bistros & restaurants have at least one variety. One thing they always have in common is that the tartare is seasoned with capers, onions, herbs, & other seasonings. The tartare here was only served with a small amount of mustard seed mixed in. The seared bison was also completely without seasoning. On the plate was one very small roasted potato. This would be a small plate even for one person.
The next dish was one of the highlights. Lemongrass noodles with pork & some seasonal summer vegetables. This is more of what we were expecting. This dish was seasoned well, & had by far the most flavors of everything in the meal.
For the dessert course, we received an ill conceived shiitake & ginger flan. To me, mushrooms have no place in a dessert, & I couldn't have more than one taste of this unpleasant combination.
They also served a piece of baba, which was (I think) a buckwheat cake with sake & rose. The flavor of it was pretty good, but the cake had a very grainy, dry texture.
Overall, we were disappointed. In the variety of a tasting menu, we got two tomato dishes, two cabbage dishes, & mostly unseasoned foods in very small portions. I don't feel there was a value to the cost of our meal.
They have a beautiful place, & with some changes to the concept & the interior, this could be really great. As it is now though, I feel that it is not a place I would return to.

An absolute delight of a restaurant. Shocking that in the middle of farmland Tremblant you have a 5 star caliber culinary masterpiece. It is pricey but worth it. Wine selection is unique & incredible. I recommend splurging & going with the tasting menu to try all these special dishes. Rustic relax feel. Well worth the cost & drive.
You can tell this is such a passion project. Gorgeous farm to table food. So flavorful & without comparison for the area.
The restaurant is situated beautiful in the landscape, & the building it self highlights the garden & the plants in such a nice way.
We were also able to order pinard & filles off the wine list, which we have never been able to get before.
Maison de Soma is such a special place in Mont Tremblant. The setting is stunning with open fields & beautiful views that make you feel completely relaxed. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming & thoughtfully done.
The food was honestly amazing. Every bite tasted fresh & full of flavor, & you can really tell they use ingredients from their own farm. The menu is creative & changes with the seasons, which makes the experience even more exciting. The drinks were just as impressive, with unique house-made touches you won't find anywhere else.
The staff was warm, friendly, & so passionate about what they do. They made the whole experience feel personal & memorable.
If you're anywhere near Tremblant, make the time to come here. It's not just a meal, it's an experience you'll remember.
Dinner at Maison de Soma isn't just a meal - it's an experience. This extraordinary farm-to-table haven sources everything from its own 600-acre farm, & you can taste the difference in every - single - bite.
The staff? Next-level. They took the time to walk us through each dish - what was in it, how the ingredients were grown, & how it was prepared. The care, the craft, the connection to the land… it all shines through.
The result? A sensory overload of flavor - from earthy, vibrant vegetables to delicate, perfectly balanced mains. Every plate was a celebration of the season, the soil, & the passion behind it all.
If you're anywhere near Mont-Tremblant, do not miss this culinary adventure.

First off, the good:
The atmosphere in the place is great & the view out onto their farm is fantastic. All the staff/servers were friendly & knowledgeable & most importantly enthusiastic about their mission - it was nice to see.
The food was solid, though nothing blew me away. The negative about the food is that there just was not enough per portion/price. They say to get three dishes per person if doing a la carte, but even that would not be enough & that is ~$80-$90 in pre-tax/tip food. I don't mind spending a lot at a restaurant, but I do like to leave & not be hungry.
The cocktails were certainly unique, & my partner & I both ordered some of the more'adventurous' ones, so in some ways we should have expected what we got. However, they were not really balanced & just did not taste good.
Overall, this was a solid night out with ambience & service that was excellent, food that was good but not great especially for the price, & drinks that could have been done without. Happy I went, but probably will not go back.
A short drive from Lac Tremblant, this farm to table restaurant is simply SUPERB.
Restaurant is based on a 600 acre farm with virtually all vegetables & herbs grown onsite & proteins sourced locally.
Our sampling menu was highlighted by the spring roll (cabbage & carrots, vinegar jelly, homemade rice wrapper), trout tartare (cilantro cream cheese, pickled pumpkin), mapo tofu & pork w/fresh focaccia, & bison tartare with smashed potatoes.
Better than Michelin-starred restaurants we've tried in NYC!
Maison de Soma was such an incredible discovery. The team really went the extra mile to make us feel at home, they were very welcoming & the atmosphere was nice & cosy with a little chic to it. We had the tasting menu & the food was absolutely delicious with seasonal ingredients from their farm. Definitely a must try!! Parking is easily accessible & it's a nice car/motorcycle ride getting there too! Everything was perfect! Thank you!
Bravo! Une expérience des plus réussies.
A completely unique & absolutely delicious dining experience, with everything served harvested on their enormous farm! With the courses delivered & described with such care by the chefs preparing them, the evening felt intimate & sincere. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Thank you to the whole team for hosting our wonderful dinner at your stunning farm. From the moment we walked in, our group of 12 was welcomed in warmly. Everyone put time & attention into describing each of our dishes & beverages. We felt at home the entire time, & particularly enjoyed the family style plating at our communal table.
Do yourself a favor & book a meal here the next time you are in the Tremblant area!
A truly outstanding experience, beautiful surroundings, warm & welcoming service, an exceptionally flavorful menu crafted with ingredients sourced directly from the farm, & a superb wine selection thoughtfully paired with each dish.
Beautiful food, beautiful setting, beautiful experience. This restaurant is what fine dining & farm to table should be. An absolute must visit in Mont Tremblant area. We sat at the bar & it made for a lovely night!
We traveled to Mont Tremblant from the eastern US with four other families to ski over our Spring Break. We discovered Maison de Soma after researching options for a dinner out for the parents (arranged babysitting at the hotel) & booked for a group of 8. This booking was for a tasting menu experience.
We arrived to discover an amazingly charming & brilliant structure with traditional farm house vibes yet modern touches. We were welcomed by the owner who was on the front porch with his family enjoying a spectacular sunset.
We were then led into the dining room with an open kitchen concept that was perfectly appointed & had a killer view across the farm to the setting sun. The servers were kind, prompt, informed & were able to recommend some very interesting wines which paired with the multiple courses of the tasting menu.
The Food - absolutely some of the most inventive, interesting & delicious food that we as a group have ever enjoyed. Each plate somehow complemented & expanded on the previous. Every ingredient was from the farm (or neighboring farms) & really ran the culinary spectrum in preparation, flavor & taste.
The Vibe - could not have been more perfect. As the restaurant filled with patrons the atmosphere continued to enhance & complement the wonderful meal we were enjoying. The setting sun, the open kitchen, the exposed beams, the clean white walls all combined into a near perfect dining experience.
The Cost - expensive but no more than one would reasonably expect for that experience & significantly more affordable than such a meal in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia etc.
Summary - if you are in the Mont Tremblant area & really appreciate incredible dining, it would be an utter shame to miss this experience. We cannot wait to return & will definitely be visiting again as it would be worth the trip just for another meal at this amazing destination!

We had the pleasure of securing a dinner reservation for 6 during our stay in Mont-Tremblant in February - had read reviews about the new restaurant & seemed a must try. The food, the atmosphere, the experience was definitely special - including the personal commentary from the chef/owner at each course. The cocktails were unique & also delicious. The attention to detail & the meaning behind each dish & flavor came through with each bite - we only wish we could have seen the views & enjoyed the gorgeous property & farm. If you are visiting the area - a must! We hope to be back during warmer months!
Maison de Soma is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After looking over their website, I had high expectations going into the evening & they did not disappoint. My husband & I were met with unmatched hospitality, staff that truly care about their roles in customer experience & educating anyone on the work they do on the farm in order to bring you the freshest, most sustainable, & nutrient dense dishes. There wasn't a single dish or drink that wasn't a 10/10. Everyone deserves to experience an evening like this. This place deserves a Michelin star.
A very memorable meal. Ingredients from the farm that speak for themselves in a striking minimalist but cozy atmosphere with kind service. Absolutely worth the detour if you are in the area.
While Maison de Soma is among the very best restaurants of the Tremblant area, it is absolutely unique in its formula, food, ambiance & setting. Now in its second year of operation, Maison de Soma is the perfect balance between farm-to-table gastronomy, a relaxed atmosphere & professional service. An absolute must go-to destination, especially if you are visiting from abroad. If you have only one great meal in Tremblant, this is the place to go.
A stunning farm to table spot. We were able to sit at the bar to watch & chat with the chefs which was awesome. You can order off the menu but on the recommendation of the server we ordered all 9 dishes to split which I guess made it like a tasting menu. Everything was prepared with utmost care. Some of the dishes like the cabbage wrapped in a kimchi pancake & the duck hearts were real stand outs. There was no wine pairing so we ordered cocktails & some wine by the glass (it may have been good to have a pairing flight for everything although I understand that since this isn't a tasting menu that might be hard). The only dish that fell a little short for me was the dessert which was a beet ginger cake that seemed a little dry but maybe it just wasn't to my liking. Would love to return again in the future - the place was fantastic!
