The food was absolutely fantastic. The giozas, seared Tuna & scallops appetizers were great. Though the scallops were not full size scallops but rather small slices of scallops. Had the filet mignon & it was really tasty with a bunch of delicious veggies on the side. Overall it was a great experience. Ironically I didn't try much sushi so I can't comment on that, but the rest was great.
Top top quality sushi. Not your average good sushi. Real lobster, real crab. Best fish imported from Japan. We had this cold sake that you won't find anywhere & it just blew our minds. No doubt it is expensive but if you eat here you understand why.

The sushi rolls are just unappetizingly way too big !
The tempura vegetables are thickly cut & also way too over battered.
Huge portions are not what a sushi delicacy once had at Maiko are now.
Lighting was way too bright & not dimmed like before.
Service was slow
Maiko was once a very high end sushi experience & now is just about average
Very unfortunate

Best sushi in the West Island! Fun ambiance!!
Definitely recommend it!
Il faut aller manger de sushi sur place. Quelle excellent restaurant. L'ambiance magnifique.
Amazing sushi! Truly Authentic & scrumptiously delicious. You can taste the crispness in how fresh everything is. Truly outstanding. Presentation is A1. This place is a must go to.

Merci, Isabelle

We were very disappointed for the first time after years of coming there. We had to wait 30 minutes four our table even if we had a reservation when there were clearly some tables empty in the restaurant. Then we had to wait 15 minutes for a waiter to come & an additional 45 minutes to get our sushi. We started eating at almost 10 pm when we had an 830 pm reservation. At that point, we were practically being rushed to leave because the restaurant was closing. I'm so sorry for the staff because they were all working very hard but we were overall not impressed as we usually are.

Probably the worst dining experience of my entire life. Sitting at our table for 20 minutes before the waitress even came over to see us. Almost an hour to get our first plate. Another 30 minutes to get our second plate which was terribly presented (sushi roll falling apart). Maiko used to be great but it seems their service has fallen apart. Will not be going back.

Everything was excellent as usual. Unfortunately, the Meiko Delice sushi wasn't up to standard like usual. The fried ingredient was cold & chewy & overal has shrunken in size.

Excellente qualité mais ça arrive régulièrement que mon sushi favori n'est pas disponible. Aussi, service pas très attentif,

We visit your restaurant every year, a few times. The food & the service have always been outstanding.
But why did you increase tremendously the size of the sushis? It used to be smaller & easier to eat. Also, the "Bouquet" (ie. last item on the lunch Menu), I would have appreciated more of the salmon sushis. There was no tuna sushi. Thank you for getting back to me with your answers.

The sushi felt a little old however everything else was good

1. Background music was far too loud
2. Sushi pieces often fell apart
3. Very slow service
A terrific atmosphere with a friendly staff, a beautiful restaurant & even more beautiful food. It's as good as it is pretty (if not more so). They make a killer martini & the sushi/maki/sashimi dinner for 2 is just the right amount of food. Fair pricing. I recommend it BUT make sure to make reservations.

Always an amazing experience at Maiko
The #1 sushi restaurant in my books

Maiko is our favourite sushi place in Montreal. Always amazing fresh sushi & never disappoints.

This is a great restaurant & the sushi is usually really really good. I come here all the time. But recently I find the service has become less good & the food as well unfortunately. But it's still one of the best sushi places I know. It was very loud on my last visit but that was a Saturday night. Still, I would recommend this place especially to sushi lovers.
Still one of my favorite sushi restaurants in MTL. Atmosphere great. Service a little slow tonight.

Our party of six requested to move to the front, because the initial space at the back was so dark! Trio of sushis was filling!
