for the food we had different kinds of sushi including: tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, avocado roles which were so good & creamy, California roles, tempura shrimp, my absolute favorite is the sunset which is rice salmon rowe & a quail yolk. if your coming here for dessert you came to the right place with there Molten chocolate lave cake.
For the service they were extremely welcoming & pleasant & you could tell they liked doing their job & for atmosphere is beautiful with high ceilings & such nice decorations
Perfectly rolled sushi. Filled with flavors in your mouth. Everything is exquisite.
Excellent service! Beautiful decor & lovely atmosphere. Try the private room with magnificent flowers for your celebration.
Sushis roulés avec perfection. Remplis de saveurs dans la bouche. Tout est exquis.
Excellent service!
Delicious, well proportioned & visually pleasing dishes. Just wow. The ambiance is fun, the decor is stunning. A great place. Will return again & again!
Service & staff are very nice. The atmosphere is beautiful, with their amazing decorations. Very nice place to bring your family to enjoy some high end sushi. They also have other types of food in their menu, like steak, fried whole fish & more. The sushi won't disappoint you at all. At this place, I had some of the finest sushi in my life & I have tried many high end other sushi places. Very satisfying experience.
Delicious, beautifully served sushi. The restaurant is nicely decorated, cozy ambiance yet a little too dark. Perfect place for a date or a business meeting (if next to the window). Minuses: - Pricey; - Booking in advance didn't work out, they called back & asked to choose either 5 pm or 8.30 pm (original time was supposed to be 7 p.m.) - A little too crowded even tho we went on a regular Wednesday, better to come before 7.30 pm. - The service was a bit slow, however very friendly & quite attentive. - The menu has no photos, easy to get lost in all the names & descriptions, so we just asked for the staff's recommendations. Overall, a pleasant experience, worth visiting on a special occasion (otherwise will bite ur wallet).
It was a great "à la carte" sushi restaurant in West Island. Very nice decor & modern restaurant, the staff was pleasant & attended to our every needs. The sushis were great, the huge platter with different types was excellent. However, the sashimi was not very fresh that day, I hope next time I come back that it will be better. It is towards high-end sushi ($$$$) but the quality is above average.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miko Sushi in Montreal, & it was truly a remarkable experience. My cousin, who is a local, recommended this gem, & I must say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance of Miko Sushi set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The sleek & modern décor, coupled with the subtle Japanese-inspired elements, created a welcoming & sophisticated atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Miko Sushi delivered an extraordinary culinary journey that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The freshness & quality of the ingredients were apparent in every bite. From the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the intricately crafted rolls, each dish showcased the chef's expertise & dedication to perfection. The menu offered a delightful variety, appealing to both sushi enthusiasts & those looking to explore new flavors. The service at Miko Sushi was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to offer recommendations & ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the timing of each course, added to the overall sense of refinement. While Miko Sushi undoubtedly stands out as a high-end sushi establishment, it's worth noting that the prices reflect the quality of the ingredients & the skill involved in crafting each dish. While on the higher end, the dining experience at Miko Sushi is undoubtedly worth the investment for a special occasion or when craving an exceptional sushi experience. In conclusion, Miko Sushi in Montreal is a culinary haven for sushi enthusiasts & anyone seeking an elevated dining experience. The delicious food, excellent service, & sophisticated ambiance make it a standout choice, even with the slightly higher price point. I highly recommend Miko Sushi for a memorable & indulgent dining experience in the heart of Montreal.
On y retourne.
Bravo!
Made reservations for a party of 8 for my friends surprise 40th. I specifically called in advance & asked for the hostess to be discreet when I arrived with the birthday girl ie not to say I'm here for the party of 8. Hostess was initially confused by my request so I reiterated it clearly. She seemed annoyed but said no problem as it would be her & another hostess only. Table wasn't ready @ 7 pm so friends were unable to set up decor & I had to hold off bringing friend. Finally when I arrived @ 7:20 the hostess was about to tell me we were too late for our reservation so I had to tell her without making it obvious that the table was delayed.. & then she blatantly asked right in front of the birthday girl if my party was already here so I had no choice to answer yes hence ruin the surprise ugh
Only given 3 stars because Decor was beautiful & our server was amazing. The food display was nice but the sushi wasn't great & filled mostly with rice. I'm not one to give a poor review but the surprise was totally ruined even though I tried so hard to make it clear..
Lovely restaurant, lovely decor. We had the platter for 2 - it was beautifully displayed & tasty, but honestly, 32 pieces not worth $120. Bump it up to 40 pieces.
As always we had a wonderful meal! That's always the service was great! The lighting is brilliant & the decor is fantastic. My only reason not to give five stars (& maybe we're just getting older) but it was incredibly noisy & I'm convinced they played the same lounge song the entire hour & a half we were there lol
Amazingly fresh & delicious sushi & sashimi. Prompt service & a beautiful decor.
Service impeccable & decor charmant. À découvrir!
Maiko is my favorite restaurant for very good reason. Hygiene, quality, ambiance, bathrooms, decor, professionalism, taste, presentation, speed, price, options are the most important & what makes a successful restaurant. All 5/5! Never disappoints!
Good: attentive waiters.
Bad: Too attentive. He came by when we were halfway through our meal to ask if we wanted the rest to go. We weren't done yet.
Good: nice decor.
Bad: Blaring dance music not appropriate for the "atmosphere". Lights are so dim, people were using their cell phones to see the sushi-checklist. Speaking of cell phones, make sure to bring yours - the menu (& wine list) are only available with a barcode.
Good: wine was good.
Bad: since we couldn't see the menu, we picked it out of the wall of wine bottles next to us. it cost 3 times the price we would have paid at the SAQ. Most restaurant wines are only double the price.
good: Degustation menu for 2 was a huge plate. The fresh fish - about one tenth of the plate - was sublime.
Bad: There was no need for Miso Soup to start - but it was tasty. The maki (9/10ths of the meal) had the fish mixed with some kind of creamy thing, mayo or something. Both the hot & cold maki. We felt it took away from the 'fresh' taste one would expect of this type of meal. We ordered Spicy Mayo - it was missing the "spicy" part.
Overall a bit disappointing.
