Afficher toutthai(132) soup(55) noodle(42) pad thai(32) chicken(32) rice(26) recommend(19) authentic(18) tea(18) yum(18) beef(15) dishes(13)The food was good, had the pad Thai, the service was slow. Not bad but not my favorite, will go again to try the pad kraw pow that seemed to be their specialty... should have gotten that.
The pad see ew was really good. The texture of the noodles were the highlight, retaining a bit of chew compared to a lot of other pad see ew place. The pad kra pow was also really good, but the heat was missing. I don't think they used thai chilies so it was slightly disappointing. The Thai milk tea & the Thai lemon tea were both delicious.
Ok, this place is really nice. The terrace is pretty & you can chill. You have to pay before you get the food. I got a pad Thai with shrimp. The pad Thai was really good; the taste was perfect, fitting with traditional Thai food. The portion was good too. I would like to try the new plates they have available. I will go back for sure. I paid 25 dollars for that with taxes & tips of 15%, so I think it is a really good price. I didn't like the inside chair because it didn't have a backrest, but when I was outside at night, they brought me a light. It was so nice.
The food was really good. We tried their Pad Thai with chicken & prawns, Thai Milk tea, Hainan fried chicken with rice & their chicken balls appetizer. Would definitely recommend !
It's very sweet food, even the pad thai was sweetened felt like it had some sweet syrup in it. not the original thai style. if u have the strong palate for real taste then this is not the place for thai you would like.
It drives me crazy when people think ethnic food - mostly Asian - should be cheap & plentiful. This place is reasonably priced given today's inflated market for food but given the skill, care & quality that one experiences when dining here - it's a bargain. I had watched a movie about a Thai restaurant & had an insatiable craving for Thai noodles. Or a trip to Thailand. The next day I did a search of places to go & Mae Sri popped up. It was one of our daughter's favourite restaurants as a student when she lived in Montreal & she had taken us there years ago. So I went to their new location. I had the Pad See Ew with beef - not chicken - as the server said it was his favourite. I had originally thought I'd eat half & take the rest for left overs the next night but what came out was one perfect portion for one person. Which was good. Because I wouldn't have shared even if it were more. The guy lan was perfect. Noodles. Outstanding. & the beef was tremendous. All came together in a plate of Thai street food at Canadian prices for a meal. The menu is quite a bit more expansive so I will go back. But the food still lingers in my mind. Which makes it a heck of a bargain.
Great vegan pad Thai but very small tofu portion. Also has served me vegetarian instead of vegan pad Thai twice now. I do hope these suggestions are taken into account because I honestly really enjoy coming to this place.
I was really looking forward to the food here but unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with my experience. I started my meal with the vegé fried rolls which were decent but the sweet sauce (honey based) it came with stood out more than the actual rolls. For the mains, I got the vegan pad thai & the vegan pad see ew & both were overly sweet & had no spiciness to them. It just didn't taste authentic to me, it felt more like a North American take on Thai food. I was also surprised by the small portions, & the amount of tofu I got (I counted 6 small pieces in total for the pad see ew). I ended off the meal with two desserts; Mango sticky rice & tapioca pudding. The mangos from the sticky rice dish were bland & the sticky rice itself wasn't fresh, it felt like it was sitting out for long. However I really enjoyed the tapioca pudding, the pandan & the coconut cream were delicious. I think there's room for improvement so I hope for the best. Take care
Overpriced mediocre food... Tom Yum is okay. Thai Basil Porc was delicious, their only saving grace. Their Pad Thai was horrible, how can you justify serving a pad thai that is less tasty than Thai Express & on top of that frozen veggies (cauliflower & broccoli) for 16$. Daylight robbery. Their little tapioca dessert was not bad but pricey.
Most places with limited menus & nice decor tend to be pricier but tasty. Unfortunately the food was off, especially for Thai which is consistently great almost anywhere you go. Pad thai was dry & missing flavor, green curry was overly sweet & salty. You also have to bizarrely pay & tip as you order before you get the food. Gave me the ick that an MBA made some soulless decisions to cut down on ingredients, menu choices, portions, interior spacing in the name of almighty profit.
Très bon restaurant Thailandais (un des meilleurs pad thai que j'ai pu goûter) & super service.
I ordered via Uber Eats. The best Pad Thai I've had on MTL, it has everything I want from a Pad Thai. Lots of shrimp, slightly sweet & tangy.... Love it!!
Good food. Very good service. The food tastes close enough to real Thai food. We tried the Papaya Salads, Green Curry & Pad Thai. The Papaya salad had way too much cabbage.
We were sat & left there for about 20 mins without water or anything before I went up to a server. She accused us of seating ourselves (thus the lack of service) but we were guided there by a server. I explained this to her & no apologies were offered as she brought us water & informed us that we had to order & pay upfront. The pad Thai was sweeter than usual but otherwise the food was fine. Overall, just dissatisfied with the service, especially as it was a super hot day & we were getting dehydrated.
What a special spot for authentic Thai style cusine!!! They have a wide-range of snacks, noodle soup, stir-fried noodles/rice, as well as veg options. We are all amazed by the rich flavour of their noodle soup, as well as pad thai. The ingredients are so fresh & unique. This is a definitely come-back-again place for our next teip to Montreal. Also great & friendly services from the lovely staffs, thank you for looking after our table of eleven hungry food hunters!
Extremely disappointing! I had decided to eat here after reading all the positive reviews.
The staff are absolutely incredible & the heart of why this place is successful.
The food on the other hand is very poor! The spring rolls had nothing but glass noodles inside! For main I had pad thai, & it was the most bland dish I've eaten in a long time! Service is quick & it appears that they want a quick turnaround & flow of customers, resulting in food which is of poor quality.
I would not recommend or visit here again. Very sad to write this as I had high expectations!
Quite expensive for the meal since it is considered as street food style Thai food.
We ordered Tom yun soup 8/10 & pad Thai 8/10. The portion for pad Thai is very small, like 50% less comparing to Thai express. The tomyum soup does have a variety of seafood.
We also got the Thai milk tea. I am NOT sure why everyone is recommending that since it is obvious the canned stuff with a nice glass & some ice.
The washroom was very clean.
Beautiful little place. Loved their pad thai noodles, iced coffee was also good. Poulet frit thai Hainan was not good. The rice was very dry. Quantity of food per plate was perfect for a person, cannot be shared.
