I've been a couple times to Lou's & their food always hits the spot. The staff is friendly & attentive. If there's one restaurant to try in the West Island, it's definitely Lou's.
Service was VERY slow & honestly food was sub par - after waiting over ONE HOUR for Rigatoni & Seabass. Our reservation was at 18:00, when we arrived, the host mentioned how they will have private party at 20:00 & that our dining time was enough. Our food arrived at 19:21. Though they were very fast to bring out the bill.
Pasta was undercooked. Seabass was small! Honestly we did not know why it took that long to cook something very basic.
I don't know why this restaurant is'hyped'. It was definitely not worth it & we fell on to that trap.
Went on a Saturday night before what it seemed to be a private event around 8. Tuna carpacio is pretty good & portion is fine but lacking acidity. wolffish(loup de mer) with potatoes is extremely small, we are talking about 50 grams of fish, when it came it felt like an appetizer. Fish portion should be doubled at least to be a sufficient protein portion in a restaurant. Potatoes in that meal not fully cooked through but overall the taste of the dish is very good although too salty. The burger is fine for the price. I feel overall that the food is not memorable although I want it to be especially in the west island, seems juvenile a bit. Cocktails were good. Overall dining experience is good. The service lacks experience & engagement, not up to par with price of food. I'd expect more knowledge & confidence when talking about meals, it is not a bistro. Also servers were all talking behind the bar instead of making sure everyone had what they needed, seems like most tables had empty drinks. Service should always be better than food because that's what brings up up the value. Overall i like it but the potential of this restaurant is not developped.
Keep going! We want you guys to succeed!
Dined here with my brother last night - really cool lil supper club in a really nice part of MTL. Worth the drive out. Food was incredible, staff were super friendly, atmosphere was great. 3 courses & drinks - not bad at all.
My husband & I chose Lou's Restaurant to host a reception for a small wedding of about 60 guests. From start to finish, working with Jono & his team was amazing. We had the absolute best time & the entire wait staff was so attentive & kind - we really got five star treatment all night & will remember it forever.
SO MANY of our guests told us how much they loved the food & cocktails & how they can't wait to go back again. I really can't say enough good things about how much we enjoyed our night. If you're looking for a great place to host a private event, holiday party, etc without having to go downtown, THIS IS THE PLACE. Highly recommended & can't wait to come back!!!
This place is phenomenal for a date. It's a bit pricey, but the atmosphere, food & drinks are definitely worth it!
Great little restaurant in the PC village. Service was great & the menu is small which I prefer. Its a very trendy place for cocktails & conversations.
Fabulous food , perfectly prepared. Great menu where you want to try everything. We will be back to try more dishes.
Dinner for 4. We got 3 starters: crab cake, crispy brussle sprouts & the house buns.
Sprouts were amazing, buns were good, crab cake was just ok.
4 mains: pasta vodka, pasta be obese & 2 burgers. Both pastas were great & the burgers were also quite good, can do salad or fries & get a good portion either way.
1 chocolate cake. This was super good.
We also got Gin fizz, & coffee negroni. The negroni was awesome.
It was LOUD in there, we could still talk but it was nice to walk out to the quiet street after wards. But overall, really enjoyed the experience there. We totalled over $300
Had a really fantastic dinner here. Wonderful food - the striploin was seared medium rare to perfection, paired with delicious homemade fries, the brussel sprout appetizer & bread pudding dessert were also really tasty.
Great restaurant! Have been there twice, once ordered steak, (kinda small portion yet good), second time hamburger, VERY well cooked & good, sat outside, a good vibe. Inside is nice too.
Service is good, friendly.
Good appetizers. Small menu , yet what they do, they do good! 😊
Felt rushed. Loud atmosphere. A bit cramped. Food is flavourful & level, but pricey $$$.
Tried this place last night & was super happy ! There is a cute patio with heaters & the ambiance inside is really warm & cozy. Menu is small, but has a little bit of everything. I had the Brussels sprouts & the tuna which was perfect. My friend had vodka pasta & loved it. We didn't take any pics because we were present in the moment, haha! Will definitely go back again. Had a great time!
From the moment I walked in, I loved the decor & mood lighting. The restaurant was full of people which is always nice to see. Love the manager, she's always smiling & super helpful.
The tuna is a must as are the Parker rolls. The best way to eat here is to just share everything. The portion sizes are perfect for it. I'll be back again for sure!
Ps try the bread pudding for dessert !
