Lou's Restaurant is described across reviews as a cozy, stylish West Island spot with consistently high quality food, great drinks, and friendly, attentive service that makes it feel like a neighborhood gem. Diners praise a diverse menu with standout dishes such as tuna carpaccio, crab cake, beef tartare, pasta Genovese, and a variety of pasta options, along with brioche bread and a beloved bread pudding for dessert. The atmosphere is frequently called welcoming and intimate, suitable for date nights, family dinners, or private events in the downstairs room, though several comments note that the space can be very loud and noisy at peak times. Service is repeatedly described as courteous and knowledgeable, with many experiences marked by quick, efficient hospitality, while a few visits are tempered by slower pacing or uneven attention. Value and portion size receive mixed feedback, with some guests feeling meals are pricey or portions small for the price, while others find the offerings well balanced for the West Island. The kitchen is praised for thoughtful preparation and attention to detail, and the drinks program is highlighted as well curated and flavorful. Overall, the consensus is that Lou's Restaurant is a top local option, delivering memorable dining and a lively vibe, with minor caveats about noise, pacing, and value depending on the visit.
Excellent service & food! The servers were attentive & friendly, & the general manager really went above & beyond to make sure our experience was top tier. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a fine dining experience with reasonable prices. The cocktails are also outstanding. I'll be back here as often as I can!
Dinner was absolutely amazing, with great service. The tuna carpaccio was delicious, & the two pasta dishes were very tasty. Really had a great time, a very good gem in this neighbourhood.
This is an absolute gem in Pointe Claire Village. Just what the West Island needed! The vibe & the food, the drinks & the decor, the service, everything was on point. I look forward to going back!

GUYS! This restaurant is the exact spot I was looking for to have my birthday dinner with friends. I will be a regular 100% & can't wait to go back again. The food was top tier, so tasty with a feeling of comfort with every bite. Jono & the whole staff was so attentive & handled alot of the food restrictions with our group, which I know is not always easy. Lenny made me feel seen & at home. Everything you need when you rarely get a night out. Highlights for me were the oysters, the dip (like elevated onion dip but gave me 90's nostalgia feels) & I am still thinking about those parker rolls. "The dirty" cocktail was 10/10 We finally have a good spot to eat quality food with quality service in the village can I get an AMEN. Anyways, EAT HERE.
New place in pointe claire village. Ambience was nice. Greeted warmly by staff. Food good. Started w appetizers tuna carpaccio, parker rolls & crab cakes. Finished w main of sea bass which was amazing. Will def go back !
We celebrated my wife's birthday last night at Lou's & it was amazing. Katia gave us a warm welcome as we came through the front door & was our awesome waitress all night. Some highlights were the steak tartare, Cavatelli, mac n cheese, the bite of the burger I stole from my sister in law & the delicious effervescent red wine from Hungary that Katia recommended. I think Lou's is a great addition to the West Island & will be back for sure. Ps my brother in law has lots of allergy issues & they paid such good attention to the details to keep him feeling safe.

Just had a superb meal at Lou's. Service was excellent. Thank you Kellie. Hamburger was delicious as were the fries. Sea Bass out of this world & pasta genovese was also delicious. Strawberry shortcake was to die for. As far as we are concerned, for a startup Restaurant it is definitely a place to go for a nice evening out. We will definately be back.Thank you.
We have wanted to try Lou's out since they opened several months ago but were never able to snag a reservation (probably because we tried to late...obviously) but lady luck finally called in the new year & we got a table (bar only) at the beginning of January 2024. Although there are a number of restaurants in the Pointe Claire Village, Lou's has created both an elegant yet casual ambiance with a mixed Italian/American-style cuisine. After sitting us at the bar & placing our order, a table cleared & we asked to move to it which they happily agreed to...that's appreciated as many restaurants don't want to hassle with moving patrons to new tables. The menu is not extensive but I would say that all types of eaters can find at least one thing on the menu to enjoy. For our meal, we started with the Parker Rolls (good...but the portion was a bit on the small side) & Crab Cake (very good, excellent sauce but a bit on the pricey side for a single cake)...for our main we had the Pasta Genovese (excellent), Eggplant Parmigiana (it seems they fried the eggplant slices to be crispy before being baked...was excellent...highly recommend it) & a side of Creamed Greens (sounds weird, I know, but was actually quite good). When moving from the bar to the table there was an issue with timing of the main meal being delivered. Due to the delay, the manager complimented us with a tasty Strawberry Cookie dessert & a glass of Amara. Both of which were greatly appreciated & enjoyed as well. Service was very good & attentive & we never felt wanting. Although note that there is (currently) a draft due to a faulty door at the back that affects the left side of the restaurant (as you enter). It wasn't terrible but it was noticeable...just ask to sit on the right side if you can. The restaurant is very busy so reservations are highly recommended...at least several days in advance. Enjoy!

My husband & I really enjoyed our dining experience at Lou's in Pointe-Claire. The service was excellent & the lighting decor is warm... very nice atmosphere. A little on the chilly side due to the door opening right into the dining area. The beef tartare was nice, as was our pasta dish & striploin. The ONE thing this restaurant really needs to improve is dessert. Most diners expect more than one option, & if there's only one option, it's needs to be incredible. We had a basic chocolate cake (with sprinkles!), which fell flat for us. If that improves, it would be 5 stars for us.
We were super excited for this resto to open. Everything was good. The food was tasty but didn't blow my mind. The decor of the restaurant was very nice. We went at 8pm & at 9pm the place got super loud & packed. It was more of a super club feel. We finished our food quickly & left because it wasn't the scene we were looking for.
I won't be going back. Was incredibly excited for it to open up, as I live in the area. Went tonight with a friend & we were completely rushed out the door. I wasn't even close to finishing my drink when the waitress came over to let us know we'd need to leave our table for future reservations. There was no one even waiting at the door. As we paid our bill, she reminded us again we'd need to vacate our table for future resos, despite the fact we were sitting next to an empty table. As we walked out there was still no one at the door. Great food & nice decor but terrible service that makes you feel unwelcome. Too bad as the village needed a new spot - I won't be going back there again with that horrible service.
