In fall 2007, the chefs of Joe Beef restaurant opened a new restaurant, the Liverpool House, located next to the Atwater market and numerous antiquarians of Notre-Dame St. With a menu that changes every week, the Liverpool House offers seasonal dishes inspired by ingredients found in the market.

We've been going to Liverpool House for special & not so special occasions since we moved in the neighborhood 2 years ago. We have yet to eat & drink something that wasn't exceptional in taste, presentation & service! The staff is great & we have a great time every time we visit. Stay awesome!

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, & I was blown away by how good the food was. Tasting different meals was truly enlightening. Surprisingly, what impressed me even more was the quality of the service. Sarah was an amazing waitress; not only was she attentive, funny, generous, & professional, but she also had great recommendations. The only downside was that she is taken. 🙃😔 This place is very unique & definitely worth a visit!
The atmosphere was Montreal country I think. Kinda modern farm house. The cocktails were exceptional & the food was amazing. The halibut collar was delicious & a huge portion. It could have served four imho. I also highly recommend the house salad with Gouda & a delicate but flavorful apple vinaigrette.

Everything you expect from the Joe Beef guys, over the top dishes with all the good stuff. The foie gras breakfast sandwich was the food highlight, but the real highlight was the staff. We had Sarah for most of our meal, & she was truly fantastic.
Exceptional... I just feel like my opinion doesn't matter because it has all been said before. Our server Mark (augmented by others as available or necessary) was just excellent & seemed to understand us very well. We are not into fussing over wines, but wanted something that balanced the meal we were having, without ordering numerous bottles or glasses. He got it & made a great suggestion at the lesser end of the wine list ($79) - but it really did capture the palate very well. We ordered a selection of 6 Shrimp, 3 Oysters, & 3 portions of Scallops + Beef tartare for three of us to share as Appetizers. Then one Spaghetti Lobster, one Pork Chop, & on Arctic Char - two desserts, coffee, wine, & an aperitif. The service was outstanding the food was exceptional, the atmosphere is perfect (upscale casual - attentive but not hovering).
Camille & Matthew are pure gems!!! The service here is impeccable. One of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. From the cocktails to the desserts everything was delicious & the entire staff was just so damn precise & & hospitable. Would (& did) come here again & again!!! The lobster spaghetti, raw seafood appetizers & if you can get one of their special desserts, do it!!

Très mauvais service. Le serveur était pressé & nerveux donc très désagréable. La viande demandée médium-saignant était bien cuite. La viande & les frites avaient tellement de sel que c'était difficile à avaler.
Went as a group of 8, had the set meal. We were well welcomed & the dishes portion are just perfect! Steak, beef tartare were delightful, pairing with red wine. They have an extensive selection of wine.
The best dinner I have ever had. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was exceptional. An absolute must go! Try the lobster spaghetti, chicken thighs, sourdough, salad & fries! All sooooo delicious!
Simply the best oysters in Montréal. Start there & also let your servers guide you through wine pairings with your next courses. The wine menu is extensive & they can find something by the glass that will be wonderful with each dish even when no one can agree on what next to eat. The service will work at your pace & you'll neither wait too long nor be rushed through your meal. You can never go wrong at Liverpool House.
This place & Joe Beef were recommended to us. We visited in summer 2024. Here are reviews in important areas of our dining experience. SERVICE We were early & requested a change to sit at the table rather than the bar. The request was accommodated with kindness, albeit a wait but communication brief & positive. Table service, fun, casual, professional with positive energy. FOOD We had oysters & special of the day scallops. Spaghetti lobster (the best!) & fish. Wine list by glass is good. dessert was good but not wow. AMBIENCE Lighting indoor seating is low. Music playlist is fun, modern & good choice. Service by the bar & staff were all jolly & positive hence it radiates good vibes.
