It is very rare I leave one star review but tonight wad very disappointing. Since we entered they told us we had 1.30h to sit & dine. We agreed (a group of 4).
The dishes were hit or miss… some were very flavourful like the coconut curry fish & papaya salad. Some were very bland in flavour.
What topped it off was the beef tartare. The beef itself wasn't very fresh & you could taste the old bloody taste of beef (when it is 2-3days old).
We told the server that & basically his response is'everyone has liked it tonight' while in the beginning he said'i have a few beef tartare left'.
It should have been a red flag since he said'i have a few left' & not order it.
We felt a bit rushed during the service & two dishes came very late. We had only 10mins to finish them because they were giving eyes to basically finish & leave the table.
It's sad since this place has been hyped by a few friends before.

I've been to this restaurant a few times over the years & it never disappoints. Fresh tasting perfectly spiced food, fun drinks & attentive service. 5 stars
I would recommend this place for a quick drink & a bite , but not for a full course meal.
Sharing dishes is fine with us , but the cod & the scallops (42$) were served lukewarm instead of piping hot because they plate the food on cold plates. The taste was delicious. Avoid the beef skewers , poor quality meat , very stringy. The sticky rice was served in a weird little plastic bag, it was just plain rice ….. all & all won't go back , 200$ later & this being a birthday supper , a bit disappointing…
I also mentioned this to the waiter (cold food etc ), nothing … too bad it seems
Went early so the noise level was fine..
Belle ambiance!

The atmosphere & the hospitality was amazing, food was top tier, it's a very precise & detailed space when it's come to culture, preservation, & cuisine. One of our favorite dishes was stuffed chicken wings, steak with prahok, & the amok . Wide array of traditional dishes while adding a modern twist. Would go again, highly recommend!
Fantastic eatery. Every dish was amazing. My favorite was the bone marrow entree. Still thinking about it. Great service & vibes. Definitely going back.
If I could sum up tonight's dinner in one word it would be confusing.
Starting with the Pomelo salad, the ingredients themselves were good but don't mesh well & the dish didn't feel cohesive. The Wasabi ceviche had much too strong of a wasabi flavour & it completely overwhelms the dish & the flavour of the shrimp. The stuffed wings were good but were far too small (2) for a price of $20 & I couldn't help but end the meal feeling like I had been conned.
Best dish we tried tonight was the fish coconut curry which we added after seeing how small the plates were. Everything pictured was $140 after tax & tip. Service was otherwise good.
Accueil chaleureux! Service impeccable! Belle ambiance! Souci de propreté! Entreprise familiale.
Normally I really love Street Monkeys & always recommend it to friends when they visit Montreal, but the pre-set menu that is required for groups over 8 really didn't showcase how good the food can be. I'm glad I requested the wasabi shrimp & I appreciate you accommodating for a pescatarian but I just wasn't blown away by the food we were given & wish the portions were a little bigger for a group of 10. I think everyone got one single skewer & one chicken wing, & a couple bites of the wasabi shrimp. I understand having to do this for bigger groups but maybe having a menu that the host of the party can pre-select from could be something to consider. Service & wine A+!
Thats the place to go if u want to discover fusion asian cuisine the food is cambodian thai laos influence i mostly go there for friend events I love the chicken stuffed wings tapas the pork curry with coconut milk. Beef lemongrass skewers. & if ur brave try the shrimp Ceviche wasabi….🤧🥴 the personal that work there are really friendly & professional u can see they give attention to détail. & wait for the drinkers lover lot of cool cocktail & mocktails.
The Yuzu Snooze Yuzu loose gin cocktail was delicious-fresh & nicely tangy. We loved it.
We shared three dishes between the two of us & it was more than enough. The papaya salad was fresh & crunchy, followed by the squid, which was perfectly tender & just as good.
We then had the fried rice special with Hokkaido scallops-four large scallops served with a really tasty lemony sauce on the side.
For dessert, we shared the dessert of the day: a tapioca pudding with pumpkin & chantilly on top (we asked for it without cinnamon). It was light, sweet, & a great way to end the meal.
Service was efficient & friendly. & our waiter knew how to explain the menu & the ingredients perfectly.
Truly in a league of their own. Easily in my top 3 restaurants in the city. Fun to go to on a date, with friends, with family, or with coworkers. The food is of the highest quality & the service is impeccable. The owners are wonderful & very involved in the business which gives the restaurant a personal charm.
It was my second time at this restaurant & it did not disappoint. Staff is very knowledgeable & service is impeccable. The food is delicious & portions are very decent. We were a group of 5 & will definitely return.
