Overall good food but some were better than others. The papaya salad & wasabi shrimp are delicious. The stuffed chicken wing was good as well. The mee siam was a bit overly sweet. The jasmine creme brulee had some hot part & some cold part & the sugar was too hard. The jasmine flavor wasn't strong enough as well.
The service is good. The food comes quickly & the staff is nice.
The atmosphere & the hospitality was amazing, food was top tier, it's a very precise & detailed space when it's come to culture, preservation, & cuisine. One of our favorite dishes was stuffed chicken wings, steak with prahok, & the amok . Wide array of traditional dishes while adding a modern twist. Would go again, highly recommend!
If I could sum up tonight's dinner in one word it would be confusing.
Starting with the Pomelo salad, the ingredients themselves were good but don't mesh well & the dish didn't feel cohesive. The Wasabi ceviche had much too strong of a wasabi flavour & it completely overwhelms the dish & the flavour of the shrimp. The stuffed wings were good but were far too small (2) for a price of $20 & I couldn't help but end the meal feeling like I had been conned.
Best dish we tried tonight was the fish coconut curry which we added after seeing how small the plates were. Everything pictured was $140 after tax & tip. Service was otherwise good.
Normally I really love Street Monkeys & always recommend it to friends when they visit Montreal, but the pre-set menu that is required for groups over 8 really didn't showcase how good the food can be. I'm glad I requested the wasabi shrimp & I appreciate you accommodating for a pescatarian but I just wasn't blown away by the food we were given & wish the portions were a little bigger for a group of 10. I think everyone got one single skewer & one chicken wing, & a couple bites of the wasabi shrimp. I understand having to do this for bigger groups but maybe having a menu that the host of the party can pre-select from could be something to consider. Service & wine A+!

Always delicious, highly recommend the shrimp ceviche & the stuffed chicken wings.
The food here is excellent. While the portions are on the smaller side, the quality is outstanding & every dish is packed with flavor. We went for a date night & really enjoyed the atmosphere. The vibe was relaxed, the music wasn't too loud, & it made for an easy, enjoyable evening.
We ordered the papaya salad, spicy fried chicken, stuffed wings, & two cocktails. The papaya salad & fried chicken were my favorites, while my husband loved the stuffed wings. Although the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, the taste & quality made it feel worth it. The cocktails were delicious as well, & I'm definitely looking forward to coming back.
This is a phenomenal place. The food was excellent & palatable even for the most anti-adventueous guest, & the service & atmosphere were both incredible. This might be a bit of an unpopular opinion but while the stuffed wings are good, the fried chicken is even better. Great place for a night out with friends or a romantic date with your better halves.
