It pains me to say this because I was looking forward to coming here from out of town, but a lot of the food was incredibly bland. The mushroom salad & the pork belly were the only two dishes we ordered that were very flavourful, & the sticky rice was amazing. The wasabi ceviche was very spicy/wasbi forward but yet still bland?? The stuffed chicken wings were such a let down, again there just wasn't any flavour to them. We were stumped at how chicken & pork literally tasted like plain meat. The bone marrow was a let down too. The dish has this delicious sauce/seasoning that goes on top, but there do not give you enough. The ratio of flavour/sauce to just gelatinous marrow was not terrible. This dish would have been soooo much better if there was just a little glaze on the side of the plate to use, especially for the thicker part of the marrow where that ratio is even worse. Also, they do not serve enough bread at all with the marrow. For the price they charge, give two extra pieces! Finally, we got the cod, & my lord. I swear they didn't add a flake of salt or pepper to that cod before breading/frying it. Again, the sauce was good, but the cod was so plain even the sauce couldn't carry it through.
Service was okay, they set things down & move so quickly away that you don't have a chance to even ask for a fork so that was frustrating sometimes.
Overall, I don't think I would come back again to risk it.
Can't recommend this place highly enough. Came here on a whim. Got the papaya salad, stuffed drumsticks, beef skewers & pork belly curry. Everything was excellent but the stand-out for me were the drumsticks. Will definitely be back the next time I am in Montreal.

Overall good food but some were better than others. The papaya salad & wasabi shrimp are delicious. The stuffed chicken wing was good as well. The mee siam was a bit overly sweet. The jasmine creme brulee had some hot part & some cold part & the sugar was too hard. The jasmine flavor wasn't strong enough as well.
The service is good. The food comes quickly & the staff is nice.
Visited Les Street Monkey recently & the experience was just average overall. The food took a very long time to come out, which made the dining experience frustrating. Most of the dishes were also too salty for my taste.
That being said, the stuffed chicken was actually delicious & probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, one good dish wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the experience.
Not a terrible place, but personally I wouldn't come back.
The atmosphere & the hospitality was amazing, food was top tier, it's a very precise & detailed space when it's come to culture, preservation, & cuisine. One of our favorite dishes was stuffed chicken wings, steak with prahok, & the amok . Wide array of traditional dishes while adding a modern twist. Would go again, highly recommend!
If I could sum up tonight's dinner in one word it would be confusing.
Starting with the Pomelo salad, the ingredients themselves were good but don't mesh well & the dish didn't feel cohesive. The Wasabi ceviche had much too strong of a wasabi flavour & it completely overwhelms the dish & the flavour of the shrimp. The stuffed wings were good but were far too small (2) for a price of $20 & I couldn't help but end the meal feeling like I had been conned.
Best dish we tried tonight was the fish coconut curry which we added after seeing how small the plates were. Everything pictured was $140 after tax & tip. Service was otherwise good.

The food here is excellent. While the portions are on the smaller side, the quality is outstanding & every dish is packed with flavor. We went for a date night & really enjoyed the atmosphere. The vibe was relaxed, the music wasn't too loud, & it made for an easy, enjoyable evening.
We ordered the papaya salad, spicy fried chicken, stuffed wings, & two cocktails. The papaya salad & fried chicken were my favorites, while my husband loved the stuffed wings. Although the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, the taste & quality made it feel worth it. The cocktails were delicious as well, & I'm definitely looking forward to coming back.
