Discover Cambodian cuisine in this resto-bar located in Verdun. Located on one of the most beloved streets of Montreal, Street Monkeys is the perfect place to enjoy a dinner with friends or family.
Overall, reviews describe Les Street Monkeys as a vibrant spot offering inventive Cambodian-inspired cuisine with a strong emphasis on sharing plates, where many dishes and flavors are praised, from papaya salad and wasabi shrimp ceviche to stuffed wings, cod in coconut curry and other fusion twists. The service is repeatedly noted as attentive and friendly, and the bar program with cocktails earns frequent praise, along with a lively, colorful ambiance that is great for groups, dates, or casual nights out. A few comments point to small portions for the price and occasional inconsistency across dishes or noise level, and some diners note that tasting or fixed menus for larger groups can feel limiting. Nevertheless, the overall takeaway is a memorable, creative dining experience with high quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation, making it a go-to spot for exploring Cambodian-inspired flavors in a convivial setting.
Came from Vermont at a friend's recommendation (she is a foodie—owns a restaurant) last night before going to a concert. An unforgettable meal! I've lived in Boston & Europe & this food was new to me. Waiter was so friendly & helpful—food was outta sight!! Merci!!
Overpriced for what it is. Portions are tiny even if they are supposed to be tapas. Meat quality is mediocre at best. Only amazing thing was the chicken. Seafood was very basic. The rice wasn't even good & felt old which was extremely surprising for a cambodian place. In regards to service, it was okay. Ranked it low because the machine was programmed to only take 18% higher tip & anything else needs to be manually inputted in dollar amounts. I don't mind tipping you more, just don't force me into it. Altogether, price quality is not up to expectations.

Street Monkeys was on our to-try list for many months, & we should have checked it off the list sooner. Cocktails were a tasty start to the evening. The we shared 5 dishes for two people (& squeezed in dessert). The mushroom fish was a particular standout, punching above the expected weight class. & cannot go wrong with the lamb chops or bone marrow. The tea crème brûlée was substantial & flavourful, but the coconut cake with Pandan cream wins a tight head-to-head matchup. A wonderful meal was made even better by the constant flow of hip-hop & R&B bangers in the background. We'll be back.
Incroyable première expérience au Street Monnkeys ! Nous étions assis au bar avec un couple d'amis. Service impeccable au niveau du bar & de la cuisine. Très bon cocktail & l'os à la moelle avec le bouillon est à tombé par terre. Merci beaucoup !
Can't argue on how very delicious & high quality the food was! Beautiful decoration & very courteous professional staff. Had a blast there &enjoyed delicious cocktails.

As a decade long restaurant employee & owner, here's my honest POV. Everything is delicious, from the food to the drinks. Presentation is awesome. Service is pretty impersonal & cold.
Eaten with you twice, will keep eating here.
This has been my favorite restaurant since its opening & even to this day, they still deliver. Great ambiance & so much flavour in foods & drinks. Thanks a lot
