A place to visit multiple times for sure!
Loved the beef skewers. The papaya salad had a nice crunch. The wasabi ceviche was definitely an experience, one you should at least try once!
Will be back to try more of the items!
It is very rare I leave one star review but tonight wad very disappointing. Since we entered they told us we had 1.30h to sit & dine. We agreed (a group of 4).
The dishes were hit or miss… some were very flavourful like the coconut curry fish & papaya salad. Some were very bland in flavour.
What topped it off was the beef tartare. The beef itself wasn't very fresh & you could taste the old bloody taste of beef (when it is 2-3days old).
We told the server that & basically his response is'everyone has liked it tonight' while in the beginning he said'i have a few beef tartare left'.
It should have been a red flag since he said'i have a few left' & not order it.
We felt a bit rushed during the service & two dishes came very late. We had only 10mins to finish them because they were giving eyes to basically finish & leave the table.
It's sad since this place has been hyped by a few friends before.

If I could sum up tonight's dinner in one word it would be confusing.
Starting with the Pomelo salad, the ingredients themselves were good but don't mesh well & the dish didn't feel cohesive. The Wasabi ceviche had much too strong of a wasabi flavour & it completely overwhelms the dish & the flavour of the shrimp. The stuffed wings were good but were far too small (2) for a price of $20 & I couldn't help but end the meal feeling like I had been conned.
Best dish we tried tonight was the fish coconut curry which we added after seeing how small the plates were. Everything pictured was $140 after tax & tip. Service was otherwise good.
The Yuzu Snooze Yuzu loose gin cocktail was delicious-fresh & nicely tangy. We loved it.
We shared three dishes between the two of us & it was more than enough. The papaya salad was fresh & crunchy, followed by the squid, which was perfectly tender & just as good.
We then had the fried rice special with Hokkaido scallops-four large scallops served with a really tasty lemony sauce on the side.
For dessert, we shared the dessert of the day: a tapioca pudding with pumpkin & chantilly on top (we asked for it without cinnamon). It was light, sweet, & a great way to end the meal.
Service was efficient & friendly. & our waiter knew how to explain the menu & the ingredients perfectly.
The food here is excellent. While the portions are on the smaller side, the quality is outstanding & every dish is packed with flavor. We went for a date night & really enjoyed the atmosphere. The vibe was relaxed, the music wasn't too loud, & it made for an easy, enjoyable evening.
We ordered the papaya salad, spicy fried chicken, stuffed wings, & two cocktails. The papaya salad & fried chicken were my favorites, while my husband loved the stuffed wings. Although the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, the taste & quality made it feel worth it. The cocktails were delicious as well, & I'm definitely looking forward to coming back.
A salada de wasabi fois uma surpresa boa, a experiência é única e saborosa, recomendo se gosta da ardência! Pratos diferentes e super saborosos com ótimos preços, vale a ida!

Nice & cozy place. You get to taste original cambodian dishes with a little personal touch of modern cuisine. The fried papaya in their papaya salad is a great addition for the taste & the texture. They also offer a special kind of beer, pomelo & kaffir lime, made exclusively for this restaurant.
We had a really good experience here, from the food to the drinks to the service, everything came together nicely. The space has a fun, laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for a casual night out.
We ordered:
• Papaya salad
• Wasabi shrimp ceviche
• Steak
✨ Stuffed Wings: hands down the highlight of the night. It was such a creative, flavorful, & absolutely delicious dish.
Every dish felt thoughtful & full of personality. They are creative but not over the top. Would definitely come back again next time I'm in Montreal.
Everything was amazing - food, ambiance & service. We started with a papaya salad which featured both fresh & fried green papaya & the tang of the dressing & spice level was perfect. Next up was Spicy Fried chicken which was crunchy & delicious, followed by some stir fried greens that were simple yet just what we needed. The last main was a delectable pan fried cod with a coconut curry sauce which went very well with a side of sticky rice. We were hesitant to get dessert as we didn't want to jinx it but it was yummy too - a coconut milk pudding with whipped cream, pumpkin, tapioca & the surprising crunch of salty sucre a la crème. This was our first visit but it won't be the last

After reading positive reviews I was really hoping to like this place.
Overall the meal was not worth the money & food average. For example we got 2 skewers of lamb for $56. Each skewer had 6 very small slices (not chunks of meat) & not chops like in the photos. Meat was somewhat tough & unevenly cooked some were well done & others rare. Flavour was nothing special.
Waiter hyped the whole fish of the day which was Arctic char. It was dry & not flaky for $55. It was an okay size but nothing like steamed fish you get at Chinese restaurants which is tender & flaky. I didn't mind the sweet sauce but I prefer a Thai fried fish for sure. I think the frying dried out the fish.
The stuffed zucchini flowers were pretty ho hum. I was really looking forward to this too. The stuffing was shrimp paste which was bit rubbery & bland. I could not taste the flower. It was basically shrimp paste fried in batter. We got 2 orders of 2 on a plate. This cost $60 for 4 pieces to share among 6 people. I would pass on this if I were you.
The fried chicken with sauce on it was okay but reminded me of General Tao. I was hoping for something bit different or interesting.
The chicken wings stuffed with sausage was juicy & flavourful. First time I've had stuffed chicken wings so that was fun.
The sweetbreads were okay served with onions & watercress. I think the watercress was raw while sweet onions were lightly cooked. Sauce was nice too. Pieces of sweetbread were bite size. I am a huge fan of sweetbreads so you can do pretty much anything to them & I will like them The others at the table were not as enamoured with them as I was that is they were a little underwhelmed.
There were several dishes with sweet sauces that tasted similar. It would be nice to have more variety. There were no dishes that were very spicy for those who don't like spice or can't tolerate. NOTE all the sauces are pre-prepared so they can't adjust any of them to make less or more spicy. This was a bit disappointing.
The only thing we had which unanimously WOWED us was the eggplant salad. The dressing was super flavourful; the accompanying vegetables complemented the eggplant well & the eggplant was cooked to perfection. The size of the plate was good too with good amount of eggplant. The whole thing was delicious to point you wanted to lick the plate. Really the only thing I'd go back for. For this reason I regret not ordering the papaya salad too. Maybe this is where this restaurant shines.
The waiter was very nice & was telling us what to order & how many orders without really telling us much about what we would be getting. I don't think you want to be surprised getting 2 orders of lamb skewers & end up with thin slices of lamb on a stick.
As for the atmosphere it was not to my liking. The chairs are Soooo uncomfortable. Metal folding chairs really? For almost a $500 meal I think you can buy some comfortable chairs. Ventilation could be better. I just got through a week of wild fire smoke & then come to this restaurant to suck in more smoke.
You could also put signs on the restroom doors so you don't walk right past them into the kitchen!
It is very loud & we were shouting throughout the evening. We were 6 & I didn't always hear what was being said at the other end of the table & they weren't sitting that far away. In fact I couldn't even hearl the person in front of me either. So we were a bit hoarse by time we left.
I am beginning to wonder not just for this restaurant but many others with good Google ratings & reviews if they are manufactured or planted. I find restaurants get these glowing reviews & then the reality is quite different. This one sadly fits this category. For close to $500 I think pretty much the whole meal should be amazing & make you want to lick all the plates. Am I asking too much?
It was not a total loss. I am glad I tried Cambodian food.
I had high expectations after hearing great things about this place, but unfortunately, it really didn't live up to the hype. The food lacked flavor & was overly oily, which made the experience underwhelming (the beef sausage notably did not taste good!!!) We tried four different dishes between the two of us, & sadly, none was good-except for the papaya salad, which was just okay. Maybe we were just unlucky, but overall not good :( & very small portions for the price! Do not recommend.

Way overcharge with the fixed menu if you're not eating meat with no protein option whatsoever.
Essentially $60 + tax & service fee for $18 - $24 of food. (small medium size mushroom salad, a good sized papaya salad as well as a small plate of air-dried vegetables & a small helping of rice)
Combine that with a tasty but somewhat small portioned $17 cocktail & I left hungry with $100 less in my pocket.
Not recommended, for vegetarians or vegans anyways.
Big shoutout to Hilary with her knowledge of the menu along with her friendly relaxed vibe. Another shoutout to our friend Erick for bringing us out of towners to Les Street Monkeys for dinner on Saturday night. From the papaya salad, to the cod in amok sauce, savoury grilled beef & chicken skewers & lamb chops. An interesting take on the bone marrow with the palate cleansing broth. All of it was so good! Wish we had room for the pork belly & the stuffed chicken wings! Delicious cocktails to wash it all down. Highly recommend eating here! Also, we were told about a pop-up collab that Chef Tota of Les Street Monkeys is doing with DaiLo in Toronto, so I'm hoping to make it out there!
Belle ambiance & excellent service. Quelle belle découverte !
We tried the lamb chops, shrimp curry (special of the day), papaya salad & pork belly. Everything was amazing. The Yuzu cocktails were great too. Will definitely come back. Our server, Raquel was awesome.
Staff were friendly & the service was amazing. Good atmosphere. Loved where we sat which was by the chef counter & we get to watch them make our amazing food. We had the steak & the eggplant salad. Rating was 10/10
