japanese-inspired, small, cozy spot in mile end - i had the special-of-the-week don with pork belly nuggets & spicy shichimi mayo sauce. very delicious, strong spiciness! would personally appreciate more vegetable with more acidic flavours to balance out the quality amount of the crispy deep-fried meat. & perhaps the small soup spoon was a bit awkward to eat rice with in a tall donburi bowl (wanted to ask the staff about this but was feeling a bit introverted that day sorry).
staff was very friendly & attentive the whole time!
They make relatively good food & it had a rather authentic izakaya feel. The rice is good quality & well cooked & they have a good umami mix of flavor in their Donburis. I was a little disappointed that their tonkatsu was not fluffy & a little overcooked to dryness, but at least the bowl made up for that in flavors & quality ingredients.
Super petit resto !
This place was such an amazing experience. We didn't have a reservation (on a Friday night), so we waited outside & finally got a table. The host was lovely; even gave us complimentary drinks to warm us up 🥹. The food was some of the best donburi I've ever eaten, & their hot sauces? Oh you NEED to try them. Boyfriend & I will be repeat customers for sure (& we will call to make a reservation next time 💖)!!!
Bonne nourriture authentique Japonaise.
Very small & cozy space, tasty food but the portions are a bit on the smaller side.
Personnel extrêmement sympathique & très'aidant'. Cuisine excellente.
Honestly 10/10 food, service & vibe. Every time I go it's delicious & it feels like you're getting a personal & unique experience.
I went for the first time along with my mom & brother & we all loved it.
In terms of cuisine it felt fulfilling, we enjoyed our Takoyaki, Nanami fries, Korokke, Unadon & Gyudon fervently.
The service & employees were all very nice & we had some great conversations throughout our time there. I would enjoy getting to return with other groups of friends there.
Charles & Alex were kind, charming, & very welcoming. LeDon offers a delightful combination of great food & a fun atmosphere. The decor is cozy & warm, & each unique dish is a creative reinvention of classic Japanese fare. This restaurant is a must-try in Montréal!
You know a place knows what's up when you see One Piece posters on the walls. Jokes aside, LeDon Donburi truly surprised me. Every dish was amazing. It was my first time trying donburi & I felt like I was getting a true taste of Japan (even though I haven't been there yet, but I will in a couple of months!). The staff are so passionate about what they do. You can really tell they put their hearts & souls into everything. Shoutout to Alex, Eric, & the rest of the crew! Y'all are great people. I'll definitely be back!!
Very welcoming homey place with great food. The pork was a little overdone & dry but hopefully better next time. The agedashi tofu was in 1 large piece so was still cold in the middle - I like mine smaller & hot. Very tasty though. Everything was delicious!
It was our first time at LeDon Donburi & it did not disappoint!!! Atmosphere was awesome (especially for anime nerds like ourselves) & the menu was amazing, we wanted to sit & eat everything off the menu hahah. Alex & Eric were great, very nice folks & kept us entertained the whole night. I could tell they were really passionate about the food they make & I look for that in restaurants esp since I don't eat out often. I'm just as passionate about cooking (& food in general) & I just know a lot of thought & love went into creating each item on the menu-our compliments to the chefs!! Overall 14/10 experience, we are 100% coming back & bringing friends with us.

J'y retournerai
Tiny place but people who work with their hearts so, you feel at home. The staff is very welcoming & friendly. I can't recommend enough. Don't forget to reserve before showing up!
