Display Allcafe(37) matcha(29) milk(29) latte(23) vegan(22) drink(17) coffee(17) cookie(15) options(13) plant(13) study(13) espresso(10)The cappuccino was okay, there's only plant based milk which I didn't know, so not a huge fan of oatmilk in my coffee, but still good. It's a very good spot to study, low music, a lot of sunlight & lots of tables.
A nice & comfy place in the center to get your things done! Not that cozy but I'd still recommend it!! I appreciate their plant based milks.
Best cookies in town (matcha & lavender), tasty coffee with all the plant milk options, & great space to work or meet with friends!
Leaves House is a small cafe near McGill that offers an entirely plant-based menu, down to the sweet & savory pastry options that they provide! You have your usual suspects which include tea lattes & there are a variety of non-dairy milks to choose from, including macadamia & pistachio which makes it extra creamy. I opted for a Lavender Oat Milk Latte & two of their scones, which were the perfect snack. Everything was at a reasonable price as well. As of May 2024, they weren't serving boba which was a shame since I came here wanting some, but I appreciate the other plant-based options offered anyway.
It's a cute cafe with plants & a second floor seating area. I had the mushroom poke bowl which was very filling & an oat milk cappuccino, one of the best cappuccinos I've had.
you can't really go wrong when they use a modbar espresso machine (unless the barista is horribly bad, which is ofc not the case here). however, I am not into this plant based idea... if only they could use actual milk to make an actual cortado with such a great espresso machine... alas, such is life, you can't have everything near McGill: either a mediocre drink somewhere else, or an espresso here at leaves house (just a simple but great espresso, forget about the milk part...). pick your poison! of course, this would be a dream place for those to would have preferred oat based drinks at the first place (tbh they are not bad at all, but something about whole milk with a nice espresso is simply irreplaceable). ps: I know, I am not the most eco-friendly person in this world.
Lovely vegan cafe with a large study space & plants that extends across the entire upper floor of the cafe. However, the wifi has given me a problem a few times so be warned. The scones are to die for & they have some bite-sized cookies that are gluten free. I recommend the classic matcha latte with macedamin nut milk (unsweetened).
Cute cafe near McGill University with a bright, airy, spacious workspace & lovely plants & succulents. Great place to meet up & chat with friends. Decent selection of vegan pastries. The matcha latte was excellent. New as of fall 2023: they also offer a selection of vegan Poké bowls from Ohana. Very generous portion size. I took the large bowl & could barely finish it.
The tall buildings around could be a turn off but don't pass your way, the relaxed music & plants inside make a perfect island. Original lattes (the lavender wasn't too sweet, great espresso), & terrific melting gluten-free almond & matcha cookies!
This fully vegan cafe offers a wonderful range of plant-based pastries & drinks. This includes boba & turmeric lates. You can also purchase plants here & snacks. On top of that, it offers a great study spot in the middle of downtown right next to McGill.
Ps. The cookies are my absolute favourite
