Le choix dans le menu n'est pas évident: une série sans mention entrée ou plat principal. La serveuse nous a dit de nous fier au prix, mais d'aucune manière, nous fait des suggestions.
En guise d'entrée, j'ai pris le plat des oursins de Rimouski. Deux oursins servis dans leur carapace sur un lit de sel. L'équivalent d'une cuillère à thé par oursin, sans goût particulier, un peu celui du concombre. 18$
Mon amie a pris une salade de crabe: quantité'entrée'.
Ensuite, nous avons pris les raviolis: enrobés d'huile, épices & quelques têtes de violon.Rien de renversant au plan gastronomique. Ce plat minuscule finalement s'est avéré être une entrée. Quatre raviolis ! 28$
Il eut fallu commander un autre plat.
On nous sert du pain avec du beurre pour patienter l'arrivée des plats. (Près d'une heure)
La suggestion de vin, un chablis était adéquate.
Nous n'avons pas pris de dessert, thé ou café. Cela faisait plus de 2 heures que nous étions arrivées.
Bref, on sort du restaurant affamé!
Le St-Urbain has become a family favourite! Every dish is delicious. I ordered cream of parsnip & apple soup pistachios, endive, sage. An absolute must try! It was the best soup I ever had. The seafood was fresh, meats are tender & original desserts. I ordered carrot ice cream with spicy chocolate cake that upon reading the ingredients you would think it would not work but it was delicious.
The menu changes frequently to reflect ingredients in season. Atmosphere is warm & cozy. Service was great, hard working caring team for sure. What a gem of a restaurant in Ahuntsic. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. Bravo!
Pour commencer, le samedi 24 janvier, -25 C à l'extérieur.
Le restaurant n'était vraiment pas chauffé adéquatement, on y gelait. J'estime la température à 16-17 C.
Les tables en pierre étaient super froide, pas moyen de s'y appuyer.
Plusieurs personnes ont gardé leur foulard & certaines leur manteau d'hiver !
Personne du restaurant ne s'excuse de cette situation désagréable.
J'ai posé une question concernant mon entrée de palourdes, la réponse fut on ne peut plus tranchante & condescendante.
La morue fut ok mais peu généreuse.
Le dessert de mon invitée était un gâteau aux épices garni d'une glace aux carottes.
Le gâteau était incroyablement DUR, impossible d'y plonger sa cuillère sans forcer.

I had an excellent experience at Le St-Urbain. The food was original & absolutely delicious, with thoughtful flavors & beautiful execution. The service was impeccable-warm, friendly, & incredibly knowledgeable about every menu item. I especially appreciated how attentive & accommodating the staff were with my gluten allergy, which made the entire experience stress-free. The wine & dessert recommendations were spot on & perfectly complemented the meal. We were there to celebrate my friend's birthday, & without us even asking, the staff thoughtfully added a candle to her dessert to help us celebrate-a lovely touch that truly stood out. I will definitely be returning!
We came here on a Thursday night. It was pleasantly busy.
The menu is written on a chalkboard. We decided to share the plates.
Everything was delicious & original.
We ordered six oysters. I could have had twelve to myself. Both the oysters & the toppings were amazing.
We enjoyed the vegetarian eggplant dish & the crevettes de Matane as appetizers.
For the mains we had the mushroom raviolis (vegetarian) & the scallops. Out of this world.
They make their own bread & they serve it an amazing salted butter.
They even have each of us a loaf of bread to take home.
The spicy margarita was the best we have ever tasted. We taste them everywhere we go. The photo is of the Aperol Spritz which was very good.
For dessert we had their version of doughnuts with a delicious dipping sauce. Highly recommended.
The Waitress was exceptional. Unfortunately I did not catch her name.

Great local French Bistro, elevated tastes for a reasonable price. The meals where very well paired in flavours. Large wine selection as well. Service was good but they appeared a little understaffed with servers, but those there hustled & were friendly getting the food out. $190 + tip with bottle of French wine , a craft beer, 1 appetizer, 2 mains, 2 desserts.
Sortie en amoureux pour une première expérience au St-Urbain. Nous n'avons pas été déçus. Accueil chaleureux & souriant, ça débute bien la soirée. Notre serveur a été de très bon conseil, que ce soit pour le vin ou encore la connaissance des plats. Malgré une erreur sur la commande, il a très bien récupéré cette erreur & a fait ce que tout bon resto digne de ce nom aurait fait. Contrairement a ce que j'aurais cru, il nous a laissé ce plat que nous avons pu déguster sans frais, wow, plusieurs restos auraient retourné ce plat en cuisine, soit pour le personnel ou carrément la poubelle.
Entrée : velouté de champignon, Topinambours rôtis & credo de pétoncles.
Plats principaux, Flanc de porc (sur le bras de serveur, grand merci), braisé de sanglier
Désert : Panna cotta à l'érable.
Je vous recommande fortement se resto de cartier, pour son service, son excellente cuisine & surtout pour l'excellente expérience que vous allez y vivre. Nous y reviendrons, c'est certain.
Un seul bémol, la proximité des tables. Très peu d'espace entre celle-ci & de fortes chances d'accrocher la table voisine. En cas de voisin parfumé, alors là c'est la catastrophe, mais cette partie est la responsabilité & le savoir vivre du convive & non du restaurateur. Certain diront peut être un peu cher, à 180$ pour deux incluant bière, vin, entrées, plats principaux, desserts & pourboire, moi je pense que cela est très raisonnable pour cette très bonne qualité. 5*****
Nous sommes allés à ce restaurant dans le cadre de MTL à Table 2015. Nous avons passé une très belle soirée, les plats étaient très bons (surtout les entrées & les desserts).
Quelques petites remarques "négatives":
- Les tables sont un peu trop collées à notre goût. Pas énormément d'intimité.
- Le service était un peu trop rapide, on se sentait un peu "rushé".
- Le vin était décevant un peu.
Je recommande tout de même fortement ce restaurant de quartie
