Review Summary

Le St-Urbain is widely regarded as a vibrant neighborhood gem in Ahuntsic, celebrated for its high-quality, inventive, and seasonally inspired cuisine. Many guests rave about the sophisticated flavor profiles, fresh ingredients, and excellent wine pairings, often highlighting dishes like the seafood, ravioli, and unique desserts as standout experiences. While the atmosphere is frequently described as cozy, lively, and welcoming, some visitors note that the space can be loud and tight, and occasional inconsistencies regarding portion sizes and indoor temperatures have been mentioned. Service quality receives mixed feedback, with many patrons praising the warm, accommodating, and knowledgeable staff, while others have noted isolated instances of abrupt service or a lack of clarity regarding the menu structure. Despite varying opinions on pricing and portion volume, the consensus is that Le St-Urbain offers a memorable and refined culinary destination worth visiting.

I had an excellent experience at Le St-Urbain. The food was original & absolutely delicious, with thoughtful flavors & beautiful execution. The service was impeccable-warm, friendly, & incredibly knowledgeable about every menu item. I especially appreciated how attentive & accommodating the staff were with my gluten allergy, which made the entire experience stress-free. The wine & dessert recommendations were spot on & perfectly complemented the meal. We were there to celebrate my friend's birthday, & without us even asking, the staff thoughtfully added a candle to her dessert to help us celebrate-a lovely touch that truly stood out. I will definitely be returning!

Food was very good with the Montreal à table menu. Every dish was original, savors well balanced, portions generous. We were disappointed with the wine-by-the-glass list, which contained no wine from USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc. Mostly french, which we don't like. In 2023, most restaurants have expanded their wine choices beyond France... Waitress didn't accommodate us (in a top class restaurant, they would have). But otherwise, good food for the price (83$ 5-course menu)

Great local French Bistro, elevated tastes for a reasonable price. The meals where very well paired in flavours. Large wine selection as well. Service was good but they appeared a little understaffed with servers, but those there hustled & were friendly getting the food out. $190 + tip with bottle of French wine , a craft beer, 1 appetizer, 2 mains, 2 desserts.
