A nice enough spot, though service was slow. Maybe the staff are a little green? It's a little thing, but when you're paying sort of 'fancy' prices, it's nice if things like the cheque arriving feels effortless. Unlikely I'll go back, but they'll probably get better, so if you're young & still patient, possibly a good 'intro' wine bar. Food & music were good.

We ordered our holiday boxed dinner, the 6-course Hemmingway + wine pairing & it was great; great quality selection of ingredients & preparation. Skews more comfort food than haute gastronomie but great value for money ultimately. Nicely packaged & friendly welcome. Easy to order & retrieve. Highlights were the gin-cured smoked salmon & dill cream cheese sauce with bagel chips, the wild mushroom a la king, the seafood bisque overflowing with scallops & crevettes de matane. & no dishes to do afterward!

This restaurant is extremely well-appointed, the leather sets the tone. The bilingual service was friendly & efficient.

Our cocktails up-to-snuff by any standards (I had a delicious amaretto sour), the appetizers delicious me = Brussels sprouts, my co-diner the beets, the mains very good - i had the pot-au-feu. Key lime wrapped it all up - overall an impressive evening for a reasonable sum - drinks, food, dessert & one glass of wine for $150
