so the Valentine menu was available the day before so we went for it (early sitting). Original menu & affordable compared to other resto I was looking at. Humble, bilingual & experienced staff make us feel welcome. the place has a lot to offer; Piano player(no singer that night), oyster bar, bar & different type of seating to eat or drink. found the tables a bit small, but that is more work for the waiters. we opted for one pairing & I (knowledgeable in wines), must say it was good. Soup & starters impressed us more than the mains. A nice one to explore, pop in for oysters, a soup or drinks. & don't forget the piano-man.

L'ambiance est définitivement ce qui vaut le détour! Bar à vin/restaurant dans lequel nous avons envie de nous attarder dans cette atmosphère très chaleureuse. Pour un souper entre amis ou un date romantique c'est parfait! Le service est également au rendez-vous. Professionnel, sympathique & efficace! Finalement, & non la moindre, la nourriture est savoureuse & délicieuse! J'y retourne sans faute! Petit plus, pas besoin de se presser, il n'y a pas de 2e service qui attend alors c'est parfait pour prendre son temps & étirer la soirée!
It was trendy restaurant with a calm , vibing atmosphere. The tables are small but fit perfectly in the environment. They have a piano bar that's not overly loud & fits well into the atmosphere. The menu has great selections & the staff are extremely professional. They know all the details & ingredients of the food & drinks being served. Food is of high quality with fresh ingredients. Great place for dinner or drinks after work & some great appetizers. As well they had a good selection of seating options. Including comfortable couches making it easy to chill

We had a nice time at Le Roseline. The food was very good with a fantastic wine selection. We really liked the atmosphere, darker, a piano player, really pretty interior.
However the service was very, very slow. Our reservation was at 8pm, we got seated at our actual table around 8:20ish but did not get our main plates until after 10pm. The restaurant seemed busy, but two hours is a long time to wait for the majority of your food. We were hungry.
Luckily we had amazing service from Loic, both at the bar while we waited for our table, & later on. He recommended good wine, was very friendly & apologized for the wait. Loic was awesome.
Overall 3.5-4 stars, but not sure I'd risk going back if I have to wait that long again.

Went for the oyster special & had a great time. The oysters are a little small, but they are briny, fresh, & only $1. Also tried the ceviche which was delicious. Service was a little slow but there were only two servers/bartenders working so it's understandable. They were very apologetic & even threw in a couple extra oysters for the wait.
The restaurant decor is lovely. It's elegant & elevated yet approachable. I'll definitely be back.
Excellent bar à vins avec une belle sélection de vins. La nourriture est excellente aussi. Le carpaccio de boeuf était delicieux! J'y reviendrais sans faute :)
So nice! & our waiter/bartender was managing everything with grace & style. The most delicious cocktail I've ever had & we felt like he really cared about our experience. The food was delicious & the atmosphere is romantic & comfortable.
I had been wanting to go to Roseline for a few months but the timing was off. They were either not yet open (too early) or it was an afterthought. Finally my sister & I had a chance to go & we weren't at all disappointed. In fact it's even more eclectic & smooth like a delicious cocktail.
Everything about this bar - speakeasy - resto is top notch. But the ambiance is really the icing on the cake. Sublime.
We enjoyed a bottle of wine & the tartare entree which was delectable.
I always like to keep these places I love a secret but I am sure it is going to be one of these spots in Montreal that will keep its doors open a very very long time.
The owner Jean-Marc was welcoming & gracious & spent some time speaking with us at our table. Our waiter Vincent was also full of positive energy. Dynamic.
Old world jazzy 1940s feel. Just my kinda vibe.

Belle découverte que ce charmant resto/bar à vin à l'ambiance chaleureuse & au décor sobre, mais soigné. Les plats étaient bons, le service parfait. Seul bémol pour moi, comme c'est un bar à vin, j'aurais aimé plus d'infos sur les vins &, en ce mois de février, les personnes qui m'accompagnaient auraient apprécié une sélection de vins sans alcool. J'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner!
Nous étions assis au bar, près du piano. L'ambiance était feutrée, le niveau sonore agréable, aucun besoin de hausser le ton. Service courtois. Bon vin (importations privées) & excellente nourriture, particulièrement la pieuvre & le tataki de saumon .
Magnifique bar, atmosphère incroyable. Jazz: pianiste & guitariste. Excellent endroit pour passer une soirée entre amis. Il faut y aller pour prendre un verre & manger des assiettes à partager. Par contre, la carte des vins au verre est trop courte. À l'heure du repas, le serveur est incapable de conseiller correctement & ce pour deux raisons: il semble manquer de connaissances & le manque de choix ne le lui permet pas non plus. Côté nourriture, les choix de plats à partager sont très bien mais les assiettes repas, dont celui du canard semblait sorti de Plaisirs gourmands. Le choix de laitue servi avec le canard n'était pas le bon & surprenant. On se serait attendu à une purée & non pas à une salade. Les frites étaient épouvantables: molles, trop brunes & surtout trop grasses. Le serveur était expéditif & ne semblait pas très intéressé à nous servir. Un autre arrivait rapidement & nous passait ses longs bras devant le visage pour remplir nos verres d'eau. Un peu de délicatesse & de professionnalisme aurait été apprécié. On y retourne pour l'ambiance mais assurément, on va ailleurs pour manger.
Nous avons commandé plusieurs item du menu. Peut être n'avait il pas les produits nécessaire pour resté fidèle à leur descriptions, mais ça n'a pas été dit. Nos choix auraient été différents. La grosse déception fut le service du vin. C'est un très bel endroit, mais l'embiance rafiné ne se reflete pas dans l'expérience. En tout cas, pas si vous chercher celle d'un bar à vin qui en porte bien le nom où même juste un personel à l'affut de son menu de soirée. Mettons qu'on s'est senti piégé un coup assis.

Le qualité de la nourriture était très élevée. Le meilleur carpaccio de boeuf que j'aie mangé dans ma vie. Frites délicieuses. Vins vraiment originaux. Le sommelier, très attentionné, a compris exactement nos besoins. La serveuse au bar était très attentive. L'ambiance était feutrée & chic tout en n'était pas snob. Un endroit calme à découvrir absolument & à fréquenter aussi souvent que possible.
Je n'y ai jamais mangé mais c'est un bar à vin de grande qualité & très agréable pour discuter. Je recommande grandement si vous êtes proche du Mile End. L'un de mes endroits favoris à Montréal.
Un de mes restos-bars favoris, particulièrement animé les vendredis avec de la musique live. La nourriture y est délicieuse, le service exceptionnel, & la décoration charmante.
Un beau restaurant. Magnifique ambiance. Les tables sont très rapprochés. Nos voisins (3 couples) ont tous demandés d'aller au bar.... Le service est adéquat. Un repas correct. Nous y retournerons pour l'ambiance feutrée mais uniquement pour un apéro ou un verre de fin de soirée.
