pho(16) market(7) bowl(7) spring roll(6) beef(6) timeout(5) chicken(5) soup(5) vietnamese(4) tasty(4) quick(4) broth(3)While we are out to hunt for an early dinner & we came across this Vietnamese store in the Timeout market. Ordered a bowl of Chicken Pho . We love it. The broth is clear & tasty, generous serving of chicken & beansrpout, basils & lemon. Lucky us, we were given a plate of fried spring roll for free. Perhaps bcos I am a fellow countryman. :p or bcos it was already end of the day. Whichever ...it made our day. Thank you
The ingredients are good but taste is not quite right. The vermicelli bowl comes with sauce on the side as expected. However I discovered that the bottom was full of sauce. Why? The tofu is also overly sauced with very sweet sauce.
Le Red Tiger is a popular Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal that has a spot in the Timeout market, which is a great place to grab a quick bite.
It's a popular spot, though still a decent bowl of pho. It's quick enough to serve so if you're ever in a pinch for time, this is a good place to try. Weirdly, I wasn't given chopsticks & had to try eating this with a fork & spoon.
Tasty, fresh, & quick. I was impressed by the quality & flavor of both dishes, plus it didn't take them long to prepare them. The portions were just perfect & more than enough.
They are careful with allergies if you mention them.
If you happen to go to the Time Out Market, the Red Tiger is so worth it - do not miss it.
Vietnamese food, I tried the vermicelli chicken bowl & it was great, I was able to order after 9:25 PM which was great in Easton center because some of the stores stop serving food sooner.
I understand some items cant be made fresh for efficiency. However, the overpriced imperial rolls I got were cold & bland.
Spring rolls are also overpriced for what they are, atleast they're freshly made but you'll run out of sauce!
Disappointing!
The spicy beef soup!!! That's all you need to know. I don't even think they themselves know how good it is. So yummy!!
Will really recommend to try their spring rolls, tasteful & good portion size.

Terrible experience.
I ordered a dish listed at CAD $17.00. The manager then asked if I wanted the spicy or non-spicy version. I opted for the spicy one & also requested sparkling water. I paid using contactless payment with my credit card. I only checked the price afterward, while eating (my mistake).
To my surprise, the spicy version was CAD $23.00 - a price not listed online or on the visible menu. The only indication of this higher price was on a small sign hidden behind water bottles. Additionally, I was charged CAD $2.50 for the sparkling water, even though the menu clearly listed it at CAD $2.00.
When I raised these issues, the staff was extremely rude & dismissive.
The food itself was underwhelming & absolutely not worth the inflated price or the unpleasant experience. Save your time & money for something truly worthwhile in Montreal.
Great vietnamese place in TimeOut market! Highly recommend the beef carpaccio!
I had one of my best beef bobuns here!! Very tasty & super fast ! 100% recommended
So far everything feels like it is overpriced at the time out market. I wanted to try Le Red Tiger since I love pho. It was all right, not what I am used to when eating pho. Meat was a bit weird, chewy like texture, & I found the red onions to be out of place. It was just not a hearty meal, like a soup Tonkinoise is supposed to be..Overall, there's much better pho & at a fairly cheaper price out there in Montreal. There's one at guy Concordia, st-mathieu Exit
Pho broth was good but the meat was very tough & chewy with lots of fat. I couldn't eat most of the meat.
HORRIBLE SERVICE & MANAGEMENT My girlfriend wanted to order a simple beef pho that was supposed to be only $17 (before taxes). The staff asked her if she wanted it spicy or not, & she said yes. Then the sketchy part came, the price of the pho suddenly became $22, & she ended up paying $25.29 for the beef pho. My gf wanted to change the order, but the staff refused. Turned out the staff "upgraded" the pho with extra protein (+$5) WITHOUT HER CONSENT. The only good thing was that the pho tasted phenomenal, but their way of conducting business is unscrupulous. WOULD NEVER VISIT AGAIN
Service was fast & friendly. I got the vermicelli chicken bowl, extra spring roll. Good size portion, tasty but unfortunately the food had been served lukewarm. It was good, will be going back.
