A wonderful experience! We enjoyed our meal every bit as much as the previous evening's dinner at a famous (>$300 for two!) place in Old Montreal.

We visited the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary & I have to say the staff made the night memorable! We were given the best table in the house by the window facing Rue St. Denis & from the moment we walked in were made to feel special. Each server made sure to acknowledge our anniversary, & our main server even made us complimentary drinks which we superb to celebrate the occasion. The food - spectacular! We had the tasting menu which I'd highly recommend - it was wonderful blend of spices. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Food here is incredibly delicious, so full of flavor. They may have been understaffed the night we were there as the servers seemed a bit stressed. Definitely one of my favorite places in Montreal.
Follow your nose! Even the napkins are scented with warm spice.
Service was prompt, efficient & bilingual. The atmosphere is cosy & appropriate for a broad range of groups: couples, families & groups of friends.
Food wasn't just Ethiopian, it seemed that there were other African counties represented. We had a nice South African Pinot Noir with the sampling platter for two. The vegan appetizer star was the chick pea lemon - hummus-like spread. & my favourite meat main was the chicken. My husband also liked the lamb & beef.

Overall a nice night out. Food was great. & service was good for the most part. The only issue was at the end with the bill. The total bill for 3 was $101, but split 3 ways was somehow $36 each without tip? So either our waitress had a dyslexic moment (happens to all of us) or she tried to trick us into tipping her (?). But the second waitress cleared things up quickly so everything was fine in the end.
Excellente nourriture. Originale. Saveurs succulentes. Possibilités de goûter à plusieurs plats avec le menu dégustation. Pas cher pour ce que c'est.
Beau décor. Toilettes à voir tant c'est joli. Je recommande sans hésiter ce restaurant.
Seuls inconvénients: c'est bruyant quand le restaurant se remplit & les tables sont trop collées les unes sur les autres.
Nous sommes déjà venus plusieurs fois au Nil Bleu. C'est un lieu très agréable & le menu dégustation permet de partager un moment très convivial avec ses amis ou en famille. Nous reviendrons!
