About us
Le Nil Bleu on St-Denis Street in Le Plateau is a rare Ethiopian restaurant to offer flavourful, yet exotic meals that patrons keep going back for. The cuisine at Le Nil Bleu is composed of lamb, chicken, beef, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Le Nil bleu also offers combo plates which allow diners to sample several offerings. The exotic decor features art, musical instruments and print fabrics. The environment is intimate and relaxing. We now offer delivery!

Wow! If I ever come back to Montreal, I will not think twice about where to go. I will definitely return here. I love Ethiopian food & always search it out whenever I'm in a large city. Nil Bleu was another level above anythingI have ever eaten before.. The presentation & taste of everything was exquisite. I took my time, eating slowly & finishing every last morsel of everything from the appetizer & drink to the main course & the dessert. Though I overate, I am still in a great mood from the experience. Thank you for a memorable & delicious meal!

wow wow wow!! what an amazing experience! I came here with 3 of my other girl friends twice in a week. Yes, twiceee!! We loved it soo much. The owner was soo kind to us. & the food is to die for!!!!The ambiance is on another level.

The food is of excellent quality, the portions are sufficient, & the service is impeccable. We will certainly return when we visit Montreal next time. It is undoubtedly one of our favourite dining establishments in the city.

My wife & I were staying at the hotel & we're lucky enough to eat dinner here one night; amazing! We have had Ethiopian food before, & this was by far the best experience. The food, the service, the drinks & the atmosphere were all fantastic & I highly recommend it to others. If you have never had Ethiopian food before, then you owe it to yourself to check this place out, you will not be disappointed!

I had ordered from Le Nil Bleu twice & liked the food very much so we decided to visit. Quite a pleasant ambiance. It was very full but the noise level was fine. No problem chatting. Service was excellent. Food took a little while to arrive but not at all unreasonable. I'll be back. (about $65 per person with wine, tip & taxes included) (4.5 stars)

Divin!!!!, la nourriture était délicieuse. Épicée mais modérée, non brûlant en bouche. J'ai également apprécié le service: Personnelle présente mais discrète non suffocante. Un restaurant parfait si vous recherchez une ambiance calme & intime. Fortement recommandé.

We were experiencing Ethiopian food for the first time. The 2 course tasting menu was recommended by our server & we loved it. Service was attentive, polite & professional. We would go again on our next visit to Montreal.

Nil Bleu has been our favorite restaurant for many years. Yet each time we go, we are supervised again by how tasty the food is. The menu has excellent choices for everyone -- for meat eaters (the lamb is great) & vegans (the lentils & the spinach dishes are fantastic).

Je suis allé 3 fois au Nil Bleu & à chaque fois j'ai retrouvé la même ambiance agréable & relaxante... excellent service avec un serveur attentionné. Ils ne mettent aucune pression pour que nous quittions au plus vite comme dans certains resto !! Je le recommande a ceux qui veulent faire la découverte d'une gastronomie exotique & savoureuse !!!
