We have been enjoying Le Nil Bleu for many years. The food is so delicious & the restaurant is very thoughtfully managed. Having eaten at dozens of Ethiopian restaurants in North America, this is the best & well worth the trip!
L'expérience globale était à la hauteur de mes attentes. Mon chum y était allé la semaine dernière avec des amis & il voulait me faire découvrir. Nous recommandons l'option de dégustation. Je me suis aussi laissée tenter par un dessert & le gâteau chocolat-pacanes était délicieux, juste assez sucré & une belle portion à partager :) Le service est impeccable, il y a plusieurs attentions pour les clients & tout le monde est professionnel & souriant. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir!!
Je suis surprise de voir ce restaurant encore ouvert alors que la rue St Denis a pris un méchant coup au fil des ans. Cela reste une expérience unique & délicieuse.
Le service n'était vraiment pas sympathique! Description des plats très rapide & facture avant de terminer notre soirée...serveur pressé de partir!!! Non vraiment dommage
Likely holds the crown for best Ethiopian restaurant in Montreal. Spectacularly decorated space with a well-formatted menu. Service was also superb. Food was utterly delicious. Flawlessly clean washrooms. Very well executed restaurant on all fronts.

Surprised to be able to reserve a table for two last nminute on a Saturday night, but really glad I did.lovely decor & vibe, with comfortable seating, & background music that allowed customers to carry out normal conversation. Although the place was packed, from the time we walked in to the time we left, service was friendly, attentive & very helpful with questions about a cuisine we were not familiar with. The star of the show was the food. Tasty, plentiful, with just the right amount of spice & aromatics. We chose the meat (they also had a vegetarian option) tasting menu, since it provided a nice intro to Ethiopian cuisine. It included a nice selection of starters to share & a platter of lamb, beef, chicken, lentils & vegetables all cooked in different sauces/styles, with plenty of injera to scoop everything up. Delicious!,
Really nice looking restaurant. Food was good but I would say it's Ethiopian food modified for the western taste. Dishes lacked the traditional berbere spice kick that is normal. Still it was good & the service was great.
Très bon & original mais les prix sont élevés, on est toujours surpris quand on vient de France de voir qu'en ajoutant les taxes diverses & le tip on peut facilement ajouter 40% à l'addition totale, personnellement je ne m'y ferai jamais ;-)
Shrinkflation alert! We used to be regulars here, & returned after a couple of years. The portions were a lot smaller than before, especially the appetizers. I think this trend might be especially apparent in the dégustation offers, so maybe you're better off order individual dishes.
Belle découverte! La nourriture était très bonne & surprenante! Je vous conseille vivement de prendre le plat découverte, c'est copieux & savoureux. PS: Je n'aime pas trop les plats épicés, mais les quelques plats plus relevés étaient très tolérables & bons!
