Food was very tasty (Doro Watt-Berbere Chicken) & service was friendly. First time trying Ethiopian cuisine & did not regret our choice. Ambiance was a very nice addition to the experience. Will definitely recommend!
Our family LOVED this restaurant! The atmosphere transports you to a chic, African realm & the food is out of this world. Staff were friendly & professional, not (outwardly) annoyed by our monolingualism. I'll be dreaming about the wonderfully flavorful cuisine for years to come!

WHAT AN AMAZING DINING EXPERIENCE. IT WAS RAINING & WE CHOSE TO SIT IN A DRY AREA OUTSIDE.THEY OFFERED TO MOVE US IF THE WEATHER WORSENED. LOVED THE APPETIZERS & SHARING PLATE WITH MEAT. WHAT A WONDERFUL BLEND OF FLAVORS. THE RAIN STARTED TO BLOW SIDEWAYS, & FOR DESSERT, THEY DID AS THEY PROMISED & MOVED US INSIDE. GREAT AMBIENCE & THE AROMAS WERE DELECTABLE. WHAT AN ENJOYABLE EVENING FOR US BEFORE THE THEATRE. RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!
Excellent sur toute la ligne! Les 5 amies qui m'accompagnaient essayaient la cuisine éthiopienne pour la première fois. Elles ont été ravies! Cocktails essayés: Safari & Sahara, très bons. Nous avons opté pour les menus dégustation végane & viandes, cela donne un bon aperçu de la variété des mets éthiopiens. Un bon vin pinotage a accompagné le repas. Le thé épicé était juste parfait pour clore la soirée. Service impeccable, courtois. Merci à toute l'équipe & à la prochaine!
The restaurant was incredible : the staff the vibe the cocktails were amazing! it was soo fun to meet hedi again after a long while! Overall the place is a must do & i totally recommend
I was visiting a friend & was raving about ethiopian cuisine. Then we found this restaurant near us. Along with my friends son, we visited this place on a lazy Sunday afternoon. It was pretty empty, & the guy who showed us to a table was nice enough. He placed a few "white" napkins in front of us to wipe our hands with. Unfortunately, the main waitress serving us seemed to have other ideas. As soon as she saw it, she promptly & very rudely whisked the whole tray away while murmuring how we didn't actually "need" those. Next, when we ordered 2 separate meals & also separated Injera, she still piled our meal on one & brought a measly helping of the Injera for which we had paid 5 Canadian dollars. Upon my enquring if we could get some extra she point blank refused. My question is, if we ordered two meal platters, shouldn't we have been given two separate Injeras for that I had thought that in the service industry, guests are important. To our chagrin, we were made to feel like idiots. Maybe it's Montreal hospitality at work here since we definitely cannot speak French. How unfortunate. We carried a bad experience from this place. Food was average. I have had better Ethiopian.
Great ambience & absolutely tasty food! Went with a few friends last night & we all enjoyed our meal & the presentation. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the quality of the service - the staff did not seem pleasant & seemed a bit cold when we asked questions about the menu. Compared to a lot of other restaurants, I felt the service quality was mediocre. But overall, a must try if you are interested to explore Ethiopian cuisine.

Parfait sur toute la ligne ! J'y suis allé plusieurs fois dans ma vie ! & maintenant, j'ai encore plus envie d'y retourner ! Un restaurant incontournable de la rue Saint-Denis !
J'ai partagé une assiette dégustation végane, accompagnée d'un cabernet sauvignon de l'Afrique du Sud. Tout était excellent, les plats mettaient en valeur les légumineuses, les légumes & les saveurs authentiques. Ce n'était pas une option « d'accomodation » comme certains restaurants peuvent avoir. Une expérience mémorable. ❤️
