I wanted to try this Ethiopian restaurant since a long time (since Montreal doesn't have much of those). But I finally got the chance to try it. It was a sunny Saturday in the late afternoon & when I arrived, it was surprisingly not crowded. I got seated & got great advice & very professional service from the waiter. I tried the menu dégustation which includes three starters (chickpea puree, caramelized vegetables & dices tomato salade) & an injera plate with doro watt (chicken tigh & egg covered with a dark spicy curry), filet mignon with grilled vegetables, yellow-curried dices of potatoes & salad. All accompanied with two injera rolls which are like spongy type of pita bread. The food was delicious! So flavorful & so filling! First time I ever tried Ethiopian food & I love it. :)
Se restorant est toujours excellent & l'ambiance est excellente aussi.
Le menu dégustation vegan à partager est excellent, je le recommande à tous le monde.

The food is delicious! I had the vegan platter & it is a great variety! The 2 course tasting has even more if you have 2 people or even if you just want to try more options. The staff is super friendly & the decor in the restaurant is gorgeous! If you have never had Ethiopian food I recommend you try it & if you have you should come here!

Beautiful restaurant. The food was excellent- a delicious & unique dining experience. Wait staff is friendly & professional. I will definitely return & wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to try something out of the ordinary.
Dans mes top restaurants à Montréal, nourriture délicieuse, belle ambiance, bon service que ce soit en groupe ou en couple pour partager c'est un très bel endroit.
J'enlève une étoile sur ma dernière visite, il y a moins de viande qu'avant même si c'est toujours aussi bon.
Placé en salle, il devait faire au moins 35ºC ce qui rendait l'atmosphère pénible. Un service efficace & une cuisine bonne, quoiqu'un peu cher à mon goût. (Menu dégustation)

Nil Bleu is amazing! We stayed at the neighbouring Kutuma hotel during our visit to Montreal. The flavours were well balanced & thoughtful. It was shared with us that the spices are imported from Ethiopia & you can tell, each dish was so delicious. Highly recommend!
This is a jewel in the heart of Montreal. I came with the idea that I was going to enjoy a good meal … but what I experienced went far beyond my expectations. Bravo to the chef !
