I love this place!! I've been a couple times & just went again this weekend & brought a friend who had never tired Ethiopian food. This is where I tried it the first time so I knew it would be a good experience. The deal they do for 2 people is such a steal & a great way to try lots of different things. Fun vibe inside & our waiter recommend a great drink to pair.
Had an excellent experience here while visiting Montreal from Las Vegas. Not only was the service from the very friendly staff welcoming, but the owner/ manager was very attentive & warm. She's also a trained mixologist, so try out her delicious & unique cocktails. The food was fantastic. The overall ambiance was super chic, clean, & elegant - similar to some of the high end restaurants I frequent in Las Vegas. Will recommend this place to everyone. 10/10

The food is delicious! I had the vegan platter & it is a great variety! The 2 course tasting has even more if you have 2 people or even if you just want to try more options. The staff is super friendly & the decor in the restaurant is gorgeous! If you have never had Ethiopian food I recommend you try it & if you have you should come here!
Beautiful restaurant. The food was excellent- a delicious & unique dining experience. Wait staff is friendly & professional. I will definitely return & wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to try something out of the ordinary.
Nil Bleu is amazing! We stayed at the neighbouring Kutuma hotel during our visit to Montreal. The flavours were well balanced & thoughtful. It was shared with us that the spices are imported from Ethiopia & you can tell, each dish was so delicious. Highly recommend!

Le Nil Bleu, c'est une parenthèse hors du temps, une immersion savoureuse entre l'Afrique de l'Est & l'Inde, un festival de goûts authentiques, audacieux & parfaitement maîtrisés. Une adresse à recommander les yeux fermés, mais les papilles grandes ouvertes.
Il est des lieux où l'on ne se contente pas de manger : on voyage, on respire une culture, on touche du doigt une tradition. Le Nil Bleu, restaurant éthiopien installé au coeur de la ville, est de ceux-là. Dès l'entrée, les parfums envoûtants de gingembre, cardamome, cumin & berbère vous accueillent comme une promesse tenue.
La cuisine éthiopienne y est à la fois généreuse, raffinée & délicatement relevée, avec des accents indiens qui viennent subtilement enrichir l'expérience. Le fameux injera, cette crêpe moelleuse & légèrement acidulée, sert de base à une explosion de saveurs : lentilles mijotées, ragoûts épicés, légumes parfumés… chaque bouchée est un chapitre d'un roman culinaire.
Mention spéciale pour le doro wat, un plat de poulet aux oeufs durs baignant dans une sauce épaisse & piquante, à la fois intense & équilibrée. On y retrouve l'audace des mélanges d'épices, la chaleur du foyer, & ce petit quelque chose de mystérieux propre aux cuisines transmises de génération en génération.

Un accueil chaleureux, une décoration douce, une musique sublime, le paradis pour le palais avec le mélange des épices berbères sans oublier la présentation recherchées des plats. Une équipe attentionnée, toujours aux soins des clients. Cela a été une soirée merveilleuse...le paradis. Un moment inoubliable , je vous le recommande!
A bunch of friends got together for a meal. We all hadn't been to Nil Bleu in years. It was unanimously a great meal, excellent food, service & atmosphere. Highly recommended.
J'ai réservé pour un anniversaire & tout s'est parfaitement bien passé ! L'équipe a été très attentionnée du début à la fin, le service était excellent & les plats bien savoureux. Un grand merci à Nizar pour son professionnalisme & sa gentillesse, il a vraiment contribué à rendre ce moment spécial. Je recommande sans hésiter !
