Worst restaurant experience we've had. From the seating to taking our order, the service was cold & unwelcoming. An older waiter kept staring at our kids while they were eating bread, which made us very uncomfortable.
As non-white customers, the attitude felt discriminatory throughout the entire experience. We lost our appetite, paid for two bottles of sparkling water, & left.
Very disappointing for such a well-known restaurant.
This is a special spot on the West Island of Montreal. We recently took 12 guests who had expressed the desire for local Quebec cuisine. They were not disappointed! The attention to the little details, the food was delicious, tasty with beautiful aromas. Selection of wine is ample. It's a hidden gem & a great spot for all sorts of entertaining or a special date night. The historical house makes it even more special, you can really sense the history. During the summer of the patio is a great size with awning & flowers throughout. Summer nights make it a spot not to be missed. For those looking for a quick bite & a drink, there's a small bar area with top shelf Spirits. Over the last 25 years we've always enjoyed visiting with family, bring people for business when possible & when in Montreal. It's always a short hit, with people wanting to go back. Thank you to chef Sean & MICHAEL & Jessica for the hospitality.
We had the rib steak for 2 & it was more than enough. It was cooked to perfection & the seasoning burst with all the yummy flavor you could want.
Excellent service & excellent food, seated at 5 pm, my wife & I we had a wonderful dinner evening 😋
We got the tasting menu as we were a large group.
The food was good & had some unique flavours.
The restaurant is in a charming, historical home in Sainte-Anne. It's perfect for the Summer.
I've been here many times for dinner. They've never let me go home hungry!
- Is it considered bad manners to lick the plate?
Restaurant dont la réputation est surévaluée. Cote 3.5 sur 5
Très très cher compte tenu de la qualité & de la cuisson des aliments.
Ne retournerai plus à ce restaurant & ne le recommanderai plus.
Très insastifait.
The food arrived cold & looked like it had been sitting for a while. The pasta was dry, the sauce lacked flavor, & the chicken was overcooked. For the prices charged, I expected much better quality. Presentation was sloppy, & the portion sizes were small. Extremely disappointing.
Though not my first time here, I celebrated a milestone birthday this February. My friend & I were not disappointed. The staff, the service, the food...💯%.
Started off with a nice bottle of wine. The terrine & the mushroom entrée were outstanding. My friend & I both had the shrimp & scallops. The sprouts could have been a little crunchier for our taste, but overall, delicious. To finish off, our crème brûlée topped off a fantastic meal.
I will definitely come back for my next big 0
We flew in from San Diego, California for business & a mini vacation. We came to this spot for a business dinner but wound up having so much fun. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is lovely & cozy, & the staff are knowledgeable & helpful. We highly recommend this place & can't wait to come back!!
The food was perfection on a plate. At our table, there was the Elk entree, Duck, Cajun Shrimp, Crab Cakes, Gnocchi & a basic salad & Onion soup.
I didn't love the crab cakes, they tasted like tuna salad to me (makes no sense, I know!) in any case, I wouldn't get them again.
Gotta say I've always heard of this place but never went. Now I'm kicking myself I haven't. Food was amazing, they had some of the best oysters I've ever had & the portion size on the braised meat is massive enough for 2 people! I'll be coming back asap!
Ordered the duck breast & confit duck leg-both were perfectly cooked & delicious. The seafood gratin was comforting & flavorful, with fresh shrimp & scallops. Finished off with the classic crème brûlée-cracking through the caramelized top & tasting that creamy custard was pure bliss. Highly recommend!
Do yourself a favour & go to Lou's
If anyone from the restaurant is reading this. Your'crab cakes' were the worst thing I ate in 2025. I've had better frozen fish sticks. Your filet mignon wasn't far behind. Truly pathetic
The food in general is very good, but used to be better in the past
The service is warm & the ambiance is reasonably nice
It as cosy as it gets!!!
Service & staff was excellent!
Had the contre-filet with blue cheese herbs 🤤
Espresso martini 😋 could be served in mug 😉
Would recommend this restaurant
Always a wonderful service & amazing food. However lunch time is busy so the noise level is high.
Delicious food & wonderful staff. We all had picked one of two fish main dishes & we were all happy with our meals.
