Review Summary

Le Gourmand is described as a warm, intimate old world spot with a refined menu and consistently strong cooking, where diners praise standout dishes such as duck breast, veal scallopini, seafood like cod in saffron and shrimp, and desserts like profiteroles and creme brulee; oysters and venison receive frequent praise, while a few items such as crab cakes divide opinions. Service is repeatedly called impeccable and attentive, with a welcoming atmosphere, though a handful of visits mention slower service, a lack of greeting at the door, and on the terrace the noise from planes can be a drawback. The space and terrace add charm, but value is debated, with some calling the price point high for the quality and others calling it worth the splurge for a memorable gourmet experience. Reservations are advised as it can be busy, especially on weekends, and overall the reviews suggest a memorable, occasionally flawless evening that may vary by visit but remains a reliable gourmet stop.

The food was perfection on a plate. At our table, there was the Elk entree, Duck, Cajun Shrimp, Crab Cakes, Gnocchi & a basic salad & Onion soup.

I didn't love the crab cakes, they tasted like tuna salad to me (makes no sense, I know!) in any case, I wouldn't get them again.

Place is nice, authentic French cuisine, easy to find parking around the area. The soup was very salty, other than that, food was good.

Beautiful old stone house. Food was okay. I had mussels in white wine which would have been great with garlic, lemon, & thyme. It had no seasoning except for wine & butter as far as l could tell. Also had the soup du jour which was called minestrone but it had no garlic or oregano or bay leaf or any seasonings actually. It was very tomato-y with vegetables & it was not very good. I am a garlic lover so the two dishes that l ordered were garlic free do l was quite disappointed & found the dishes lacking. The stone house & terrace are beautiful & service was very good.

A wonderful restaurant that virtually transports me to France. Wonderful old interior with a separate bar & a spacious terrace. Amazing music & delicious European cuisine. I have never eaten more delicious onion soup in my life, I also want to note the oysters are always amazing here. I recommend this restaurant to everyone, I am sure that you will enjoy it.

Cozy french restaurant, about 10 minute ride from airport hotels. Good onion soup & an outstanding duck, among other dishes. Quick & friendly service, delicious!!! Do reserve a table as it is popular, & for a good reason.

I have ordered the steak for lunch. I've requested for it to be medium rare but it came as medium well. I have waited for the server to come & check how our meals were, but it never happened. The fries served looked & tasted like it sat on the corner under a heating lamp & was a bunch of the left overs. The mussels were less than average. Bitter at most. Onion soup was almost ok. It was cold in barely 2mins. I went in quite expecting something really good but it was quite disappointing.

Had the most wonderful dinner this evening. Food was delicious but most of all the service we received from Michael was amazing. He went above & beyond. Highly recommend. Also try the French onion soup. To die for .

Jolie restaurant. La nourriture était bonne. Ambiance super, très belle décoration.

Soupe a l'oignon un peu salé à mon goût & le canard avait une cuisson inégal selon les personnes à table. Mais dans l'ensemble un bon repas. Le service était excellent.

Simply amazing food. Best mushroom soup I ever had, no question about it. Super service. Note that it can get a bit loud but it adds to the warm atmosphere.

Cute French restaurant . Service was a bit slow in the beginning but got better as the evening progressed. We ordered the soup of the day which was a mushroom bisque & the coconut shrimp . Both were okayish. However the main dish seafood gratin was excellent . We then had the brownie for dessert which was also good .
