Le chef & copropriétaire Michael Oliphant, formé à l'ITHQ & fort d'un long séjour en Californie, propose une cuisine qui allie avec brio l'influence californienne à la tradition française classique. On sent immédiatement sa maîtrise des saveurs audacieuses & sa précision culinaire, notamment dans son risotto aux crevettes cajun & son cerf rouge en sauce aux champignons, deux plats signatures absolument mémorables.
Fondé il y a plus de 30
ans, Le Gourmand est aujourd'hui une véritable institution familiale. La relève est assurée par sa fille Jessica en salle à manger & son conjoint en cuisine, garantissant que cette histoire de passion & d'excellence continue de s'écrire.
Avec des prix compétitifs, surtout au lunch & une qualité constante depuis plus d'un quart de siècle, on comprend facilement pourquoi cette adresse a su fidéliser sa clientèle. Un menu réconfortant & créatif : Le Gourmand mérite amplement ses 5 étoiles.

We had an incredible experience last evening at le gourmand. The food was absolutely deliscious. Christine & Christa were excellent servers. Kind, knowledgeable & very friendly. Michael made & served our drinks & I must say they were very tasty We had the daisy gin drink & finished with some spiked coffees.
The atmosphere on the patio was elegant, charming & warm.

I have been coming here 15+ years & have never been so disappointed. I brought my 92 year old mom & the service was crap!! 30 minutes & no main meal was served, wow! Food here is great, but I won't come back! Manager apologized but did nothing to fix the situation. Sad.
