Simply amazing food. Best mushroom soup I ever had, no question about it. Super service. Note that it can get a bit loud but it adds to the warm atmosphere.

Cute French restaurant . Service was a bit slow in the beginning but got better as the evening progressed. We ordered the soup of the day which was a mushroom bisque & the coconut shrimp . Both were okayish. However the main dish seafood gratin was excellent . We then had the brownie for dessert which was also good .

Charming rustic looking building. Food, drinks & service were great. We sat outside under the awning. The entire area is heated. It was pretty busy for mid week dinner.

Désirant célébrer dignement notre 42e anniversaire de mariage, nous avons pris la décision de réserver Au Gourmand à Pointe Claire.

Malheureusement ce fut un désastre. Nos deux entrées étaient pratiquement froides (pétoncles pour mon épouse & bisque de légumes pour moi).

Comme mets principaux, mon épouse a choisi le magret de canard & moi le filet mignon (en fait ce n'était pas un filet mais plutôt deux tranches de filet)avec langoustine. Nos deux plats étaient également presque froid.

Mon épouse a décidé de ne pas le retourner par contre moi j'ai signalé au serveur que mon plat était froid. Le met de mon épouse était goûteux mais ne comportait aucune trace de légume......

Pour ma part, on m'a apporté une nouvelle assiette. Le filet était très bien cuit (demandé médium) & en fait il s'agissait des extrémités d'une pièce de viande. Le riz en accompagnement n'avait aucune saveur & combiné avec 7-9 asperges & un filet trop cuit disons que l'on ne pouvait pas appeler le tout une bonne table.

Le service par contre fut excellent.

En résumé, pour une facture de 160$ avant pourboire, il existe de bien meilleure table dans la région.

Ce n'était pas notre première expérience Au Gourmand & la précédente avait été une fort satisfaisante.

Pour moi ce qui est encore plus important est que j'ai fait parvenir un courriel similaire sur le site du restaurant & je n'ai reçu une réponse ou excuse à ce jour.

Je crois qu'il est inadmissible que des gestionnaires d'un restaurant avec une telle réputation soit si peu responsable, professionnel & respectueux de sa clientèle.
