Guests frequently highlight the miso oysters, gnocchi, and fresh crudo as standout items, often describing the dining experience as both refined and memorable. The atmosphere is generally characterized as elegant yet cozy, making it an excellent choice for special occasions or intimate evenings. While the vast majority of visitors praise the professional, attentive, and warm service provided by the staff, some guests note that the restaurant can become quite noisy when full, and opinions on portion sizes and overall value vary. My wife & I had a wonderful evening last month. The service & food were top notched.

Really great. Fast, friendly service. All four appetizers were wonderful: tuna tartare, smoked salmon, yellow tail & octopus. We loved our squid ink pasta & fish specials. Excellent maple square dessert. Top ten Montreal dining experience.

A classic in Montreal. Have been coming here since they opened. The food is good. Always has been. The menu really hasn't changed. If anything, a little for the worse with some of their modifications from the OG. The oysters & the tuna dishes are still there, & the same. The beef tataki is more or less the same - the mushrooms are now fried & the beef sliced thin, which is not a great change. My issue however is mostly with value. For the same price ($100+ CAD), I get double the food at Beba. More dishes, more food, more interesting new stuff that changes seasonally. Have a very tough time justifying regular trips to Le Filet. Maybe once every few years for nostalgia? Just overpriced, especially in this economy. Service is friendly, but inattentive. Just not paying attention for long stretches. & took forever to pay my bill & leave. Glad Le Filet is still around, but its peak has sadly passed.

Excellent restaurant!

Loved my time here - we got seats by the counter which gave us a great view of the kitchen. The service staff were fantastic - professional, helpful, & friendly. The food was great with the standouts being the miso oyster (my favorite bite in Montreal) & the honey cake dessert. We spent about 300 for two people (including tip) & reservations were required. Will definitely be back next time!

What a beautiful place with the best service/staff! Everything was great, the lobster ravioli with sweetbreads was amazing. The maple syrup square made me think about my grandma's sugar fudge (delicious). Thank you!!! ☺️
