Review Summary

Le Filet is widely regarded as a premier dining destination in Montreal, celebrated for its refined seafood-focused menu and creative culinary execution. Many patrons praise the restaurant for its exceptional service, noting that the staff is professional, attentive, and consistently welcoming. While the atmosphere is frequently described as chic, cozy, and vibrant, some guests have noted that the space can become quite noisy when full and that portion sizes may be small relative to the price point. Despite a few mixed opinions regarding specific dish complexities or occasional service lapses, the vast majority of visitors highlight the consistent quality of the food, the impressive wine selection, and the overall memorable experience, making it a highly recommended spot for both special occasions and casual fine dining.

Excellent food but very cold service !
Great selection of wine glasses, food is fresh. I recommend the beef, pork flank, sweetbread. For the cod, I've tasted some tastier than this, though very fresh. There could be a bit more vedgetables for the garnish or bigger portions for the price.

Big negative point : the service. Cold as you've rarely seen it ! A bit snobish too. As if the personal had more important things to do or as if we weren't important at all, lack of smiles too.. But this is why we go back to a restaurant, no ? We go to a restaurant for the food & the experience but we go back for the service. It's not like Montreal doesn't have a lot of good restaurants... Don't know if I'll be going back.
