This place is a total gem! Their menu is packed with amazing options like sushi, poke, tartare, & so much more, plus they have an insane collection of drinks to try. & honestly, the restaurant itself is just so inviting - the vibe is awesome & the people are incredibly welcoming.
Belle soirée entre filles.. Endroit très intime d'une vingtaine de places seulement (à l'intérieur). Pour y aller, nous devons monter l'escalier sur le côté & attendre qu'on nous ouvre. Bon service attentionné, serveurs sympathiques & on nous explique bien le menu. Les sushis pressés sont à essayer. Nous avons bien aimé le ebi & le unagi. Le tartare que nous avons essayé au saumon était bien bon. L'autre au thon sera à essayer une prochaine fois. Nous avons aussi essayé les maneki-dogs. Nous étions 5 & avons partagé 4 sushis pressés, 3 maneki-dogs & un tartare. Chacune a pris un cocktail. Cela était parfait.

Montreal foodie vibe right here. An old Montréal ice cream shop converted into a asian fusion place.'Pressed' Sushi, Sushi hotdogs & tartare & super funny mocktails & cocktails. It's refreshing to go a innovative place that also serve fresh food. It was delicious & full of flavor. I will definitely return!
On a été profiter du speakeasy entre amis ! Déjà la serveuse a été des très bon conseil pour nos drinks. Ce qui est un grosbplus car souvent je suis mal conseillée. On a décidé de tester tous les sushis de la carte ainsi que 2 maneki dog & 1 tartare. Tout était juste délicieux. 🤤 On a tous été très contents de notre expérience ! Merci pour la belle soirée. 💫
Très bel endroit & la nourriture est excellente! Mon seul commentaire, c'est qu'ils ont la main un peu lourde sur la mayo/sauce dans le tartare, mais sinon tout était très bon!
I was curious to try this place based on online reviews. I knew the subway stop is next to the highway & the distinct pink building was easy to find. I walked around a few times & was about to leave....then decided to knock on the glass windows on street level & was instructed to walk up the fire escape for the actual sit down area. The door opened from the inside. Once I entered I saw a cosy small dining area. There were about 20 seats. A very friendly server explained the menu & I tried the aburi sushi, the maneki dog with crispy Nori & also the tuna tartare. It was tasty & very filling.
I will be completely honest: I was fully taken by the pig drink when I saw it on Insta! I had to try this place & beg them to sell me a piggy... unfortunately, the answer to my begging was no :( BUT, the experience was still enjoyable; the tartare was great, & the chips were extra crunchy the way they should be. The drink was a bit more tart than I personally prefer, but how can I complain when it's in the cutest cup I've ever seen? The ice cream was also wonderful & refreshing! The only negative is that the Chateau is on the road of the loudest/busiest highway in MTL, but that is out of their control.

What a great spot! The overall experience is a 10/10. The food was delicious. We've tried different sushi's, the tartare & a few drinks. The vibe is nice. The music playing in the background is very good. & the staff are very welcoming. Recommend for a date or even to chill with friends! Will be back.
On a beaucoup aimé le Maneki classique & Ebi croustillant au chili. Donburi Maguro truffle était underwhelming à notre goût, en rajoutant un peu de wafu c'était parfait. Tartare Classic Maneki était bon, mais au final les sushis ont volé la vedette! Les aliments étaient frais & bien choisi. Belle attention au détail! (point boni pour le collant de chat sur la commande). Quand on y retournera, on prendra 4 commandes de sushis à deux, c'est certain :)
Très bon menu sauf pour le tartare & le donburi au thon gochujang, le goût était un peu aqueux, mais les autres items étaient vraiment délicieux! Le format des sushis était aussi original. Prix un peu trop haut, il faut 2 items par personne ce qui revient à 30$ & plus.
I had an amazing dining experience at Château Maneki! The restaurant's unique pink castle setting instantly caught my attention, & their pressed sushi is simply delicious. I tried the 📌Tartare de Thon, 📌Maneki Classic, & 📌Unagi Kabayaki, & each dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor. The balance of textures & tastes is perfect. I also ordered the 📌Rose Poison mocktail, which was refreshing & a perfect complement to the meal. If you are a sushi lover or just looking for a new, fun, creative spot to dine, Château Maneki is a good choice :)

Wow! Tres beau concept de style fast food mais en sushis/tartares. Oui il y a beaucoup de riz, mais c'est normal, il ne faut pas s'attendre à avoir des sushis authentiques.
Super casse-croute japonais. La déco est sublime & audacieuse avec ses couleurs pastels & son architecture. Mon tartare était succulent mais ma portion petite. Vu le prix, il faut savoir se satisfaire. Faites un arrêt si vous passez par là!
Sushis originaux & goûteux. Pour ma part j'ai aimé mais je trouve qu'il y a beaucoup trop de riz versus la quantité de poisson. Moi je serais prète à payer pour une version qui en aurait moins. Les makis étaient bon mais à cause du riz tu peux pas tout manger tu te sens plein rendu à moitié;(. Le prochain problème avec le manque de poisson est la faim qui va apparaitre à nouveau d'ici 2h. Belle audace d'avoir crée un tel endroit dans ce château rose c'est original quand même & occupé! Excellent tartare de thon!
Une belle réappropriation de l'espace au vibe nostalgique de l'ancienne crèmerie à l'allure de château rose-bleu. Les sushis hako sont bien instagrammables, la préparation se fait sous nos yeux dans le concept de cuisine ouverte derrière la vitre. La saveur crevettes spicy crush est vraiment bonne, bien balancée. La saveur classique maneki est bonne, mais je l'ai moins aimé car la généreuse sauce srirasha masque le saumon, ce qui dommage pour des sushis qui ne sont pas donnés. Il y a quelques tables à pique-nique, stationnements, mais compte tenu de la popularité, s'attendre à une file & probablement pas de places assises; on a pris pour emporter. Il faudra essayer leur tartares & aussi la crème molle pour une bonne évaluation de leur menu.

I was sad when the ice cream shop that was previously at this pink & blue castle closed down. It was an institution for years & many in the neighbourhood were afraid that the next owner would tear down the castle. Happy to see that Château Maneki not only kept the original look of the place, they added a few modern touches as well to give this place a very cool vibe. The menu is very interesting & different from many other run-of-the-mill sushi shops, with oshizushi (pressed sushi), donburi & tartare. For our first visit, we took the sake truffle oshizushi & the maneki classique tartare. The Sake Truffle was very flavourful, quite spicy, & filling even for my husband! The tartare was just also perfectly spicy & came with tooons of crispy taro chips which I love. We found the prices to be quite reasonable. Looking forward to coming back & eating on their little terrasse. The place was a little busy even for a wednesday lunch, so do expect a bit of wait for your food during rush hour as they are recently opened!
We chose three kind of sushi (salmon, tuna & eel) & a salmon tartare. They were all excellent with fresh ingredients. Will be back again. Congrats to the team!!
