I first came to Brasero on Saint-Laurent Boulevard when my son was only one year old. Today, he is 21, & it's amazing to think about how many memories our family has made in this restaurant over the years.
The owners may have changed, but what I truly love is that the quality, the food, & the feeling of Brasero have stayed the same. That kind of consistency is something special. Life changes, people change, & we all have our ups & downs, but coming back to the same restaurant & knowing you will find the same delicious food & familiar feeling is something I really appreciate.
I personally love the sardines, & my family always enjoys the chicken. & of course, we can never forget the olives! Every time we come, there is something that reminds us of the many years we have spent here together.
For me, Brasero is more than just a Portuguese restaurant. It has become part of our family story. From when my son was a little boy to now, at 21, we can still sit together & enjoy the same food we have loved for years.
Thank you, Brasero, for keeping that tradition alive. Some things are worth keeping the same.

Nous avons passé une commande par Uber & malheureusement un problème est survenu avec celle-ci. Nous avons pu contacter le restaurant malgré leur fermeture imminente. Ils ont réglé le problème rapidement & efficacement. La nourriture était franchement délicieuse! Le poulet était juteux, les frites maison étaient parfaitement cuites & croustillantes, & la salade d'accompagnement était fraîche & bien garnie. Nous commandons généralement notre poulet portugais dans un autre restaurant du quartier, mais à partir de maintenant, ce sera à cet établissement que nous commanderons. Très bon service à la clientèle & portions généreuses. Nous recommandons sans hésitation!

Réception amicale. Tres bien servi tout au long du repas. La cuisson du poulet & du saumon était parfaite. Assiette généreuse. Prix tres raisonnable.

First: The grilled chicken is spectacular.

Second: I used to live in the area & took-out chicken on a regular basis 10 years ago. The chicken was excellent but the service was terrible, rude people giving your take-out like you're an animal.

Third: I moved to the West-Island where there's basically no great Portuguese chicken in sight (I'm looking at you Tiagos Chicken). Today I finally decided to take the drive east & go back to Braseiro for take-out & it was the best idea because the chicken was not only spectacular like mentioned above but the service was actually very nice. The guy at the bar was very welcoming & nice, even the cook was pretty cool considering that he had a lot on his plate. The ambience at the restaurant seemed very nice & cool.

Fourth: I used to love their chicken back in the day even if the service was subpar when taking out, it was still worth it. I'm happy to report that today, my little experience was great & I'll be much more inclined on going back more often now that they have figured out how to serve people like human being lol

L'accueil est chaleureux comme si c'était on se connaît déjà. Le poulet & le sandwich poulet étaient de bons.

Best service! Rien a dire. Par contre la cuisse de poulet est ridicule. Pilon minuscule & haut de cuisse sans viande. Come on guys. & les prix non justifiés Natas a 7$ l'unité avant taxes & 3 sardines a 18$ sachant qu'un kg est autour de 10$. Revoyez prix. Je n'y retournerai sûrement pas.....

Un bel endroit dans le quartier Villeray. Pas trop loin du parc Jarry. Les assiettes sont copieuses. Services rapides. Délicieux en tout temps. Facile aussi pour emporter dans le parc pour profiter de la belle température.

My husband & I had the pleasure of dining at Braseiro. The food is authentic Portuguese. Our server was excellent, we found out that our parents emigrated from Portugal in the 1950's, his obviously to Montreal, mine to a small community in Ontario. I told him we like to try Portuguese restaurants in our travels & I told him the grilled octopus was better than the one I had in Lisbon. Thank you to server's ( I forgot his name) to his mother who continues to make her Portuguese dishes. I highly recommend this spot if you enjoy real Portuguese cuisine.
