I first came to Brasero on Saint-Laurent Boulevard when my son was only one year old. Today, he is 21, & it's amazing to think about how many memories our family has made in this restaurant over the years.
The owners may have changed, but what I truly love is that the quality, the food, & the feeling of Brasero have stayed the same. That kind of consistency is something special. Life changes, people change, & we all have our ups & downs, but coming back to the same restaurant & knowing you will find the same delicious food & familiar feeling is something I really appreciate.
I personally love the sardines, & my family always enjoys the chicken. & of course, we can never forget the olives! Every time we come, there is something that reminds us of the many years we have spent here together.
For me, Brasero is more than just a Portuguese restaurant. It has become part of our family story. From when my son was a little boy to now, at 21, we can still sit together & enjoy the same food we have loved for years.

Best service! Rien a dire. Par contre la cuisse de poulet est ridicule. Pilon minuscule & haut de cuisse sans viande. Come on guys. & les prix non justifiés Natas a 7$ l'unité avant taxes & 3 sardines a 18$ sachant qu'un kg est autour de 10$. Revoyez prix. Je n'y retournerai sûrement pas.....
On a prit une entrée de calmars grillées & plat de sardines grillées. Tout était très bons, excellent service, bonnes portions. Ambiance familiale. On recommande!!

Great local spot for authentic Portuguese dishes...a few blocks up from Little Portugal. The grilled sardines & octopus, salad & steak were all delicious...we will definetely return next trip to Montreal!
First time visiting & will definitely come back for more, great variety in the menu. We had the grilled calamaris, sardines, bitoque & meat plater & it was delicious even down to the fries.. & that sauce, yummy. Can't wait to try the rest like the chicken & octopus. Staff is very courteous, helpful & humane. There's also a full bar. Sangria was excellent & looking to try that vinha verde soon!
C'était un dimanche & le midi. Il avait éte décidé que nous mangerions de la bouffe portugaise dans le nord de la ville. Ceci limitait les endroits pour les heures d'ouverture. Braseiro nous a semblé la place à découvrir. Nous étions 7 adultes, une ado & une enfant.
Somme toute, nous avons été très satisfaits. Tous les plats étaient à notre goût. Nous sommes partis qu'avec des commentaires positifs sur notre expérience culinaire.
En entrées, nous avons goûté les calmars, les sardines, la pieuvre & la saucisse chorizo, moyennement épicée. Les plats principaux choisis ont éte le poulet portugais cuit sur feu de bois (x4), le saumon (x2) & une assiette mixte, incluant chorizo, poulet & boeuf (le morceau de steak, cuit à point, ctd médium saignant & tellement tendre). Une personne a pris deux fois l'entrée de calmars. Il n'est plus resté de place pour le dessert, que nous avons sauté.
Nous avons aussi trouvé le personnel très sympathique, souriant, serviable. En fait, nous avons très bien intégré le décors du resto, qui est plus du style vieillot, simple & confortable.
Je suis certaine d'y revenir, sinon, pour une commande à emporter.
