While I would not consider us foodies we do really enjoy a good, well constructed & executed meal. Le Charleville delivers!
With a menu that changes based on what is in season you are guaranteed to enjoy delicious fresh food. The four course meal is 100% worth the price & the trip. We sat on the terrace & while it was raining outside we were covered & toasty warm within the bounds of the covered space.
Very excited to have found an excellent date night option so close to home. Looking forward to our next visit!
Charleville A quaint apportez ton vin locale in Old Dorion Restaurant Le Charleville was a originally a all you can eat mussels restaurant which transformed towards a more standard menu. As the majority of its menu is created using local, fresh produce, it serves as a nice exemplar of Quebec cuisine. A 4 service table d'hôte menu offers an appetizer, un trou Normand, a main, plus dessert. Delicate house-made fois gras with the right tartness of legumes, mussels, & other apps whetted appetites all around. A very crisp & cold Trou Normand cleansed the palate & set the stage for Mains- pieces de résistance which included sumptuous cerf, filet mignon, to name a few. Classic crème brûlée & chocolat mi-cuit to close a delicious & memorable dinner. Parking onsite & on the side street, covered patio is perfect for summer evenings. While the restaurant & terrace themselves are a bit fatigued, service is slow, & smokers smoke wafts from the street inwards, it is worth visiting relative to other Dorion offerings.
We were a little disappointed that the terrace was not available to us but that was soon forgotten by the extraordinary service & delicious menu choices which elevated the whole dining experience. Great value too.. Can't wait to go back Merci

We recently had dinner on the terrace. The service & quality were certainly top-notch. I tasted several of the dishes which were served at our table & everything was EXCELLENT. My favourites were the beef-stuffed ravioli & the venison medallion. The scallops were delicious, & what can I say about the stuffed portobello... WOW. Top-notch food, served without pretension, by an amazing team. I highly recommend it.
Another fantastic meal at Le Charleville! Tuna tartare appetizer was so fresh & perfectly seasoned. Main course of braised wild boar was very tender & tasty. & so many wonderful desserts to choose from. Terrace was beautiful but we had reserved inside, weather was too iffy. Service was very cordial & attentive. Will definitely come back.
Since moving back to the West Island this has become our favourite restaurant, especially in the summer on the terrace.
Love the new menu every two months. Staff is extremely friendly & knowledgeable, plenty of parking. Oh, & the food...superb, great choices, highly recommended
We have been dining there for several years & the food & service is simply fabulous. Looking forward to the opening of the terrace soon. A beautiful gem in our area.
Excellent service & repas. La seule recommendation est que je n'ai pas vue la possibilité de réserver sur la terrace alors nous étions en salle à manger. Vraiment bien à l'intérieur mais nous aurions aimer être sur la terrace. Merci Guy
