Review Summary

Reviews describe Le Butterblume as a creative and seasonal brunch and lunch spot that uses high quality local ingredients, with an open kitchen, appealing presentation, and attentive staff, and many praise the bread, coffee, and inventive dishes; at the same time some guests find the space loud and busy, the portions small for the price, and a few dishes unbalanced or not as flavorful as hoped, though the overall experience is often considered worth the price for fresh, well crafted food.

A very refined brunch - not a stuff your face kind of experience, but equally satisfying! Loved the gougere with oyster mushrooms & a maple sauce. What an exquisite combo of flavors ✨?

Great service & atmosphere, but the food was not worth the price. The menu looks interesting with cool flavor combinations but none of them actually turned out special at all. The eggplant tartine had bread that was too thick & large & covered the delicate flavors on top. The ravioli with chicken dashi soup didnt have a great texture & the main element that should have balanced it out (the dashi soup) didnt have any strong flavor & so the overall effect is a bad mix of textures without any standout flavors. The only thing we liked was the brioche, but even that wasnt all that impressive either. & the cocktails were similarly mediocre: the espresso martini was light brown with the taste of coffee barely present & was overall watered down. Overall an okay meal but wouldn't come again considering we ended up paying $115 for two meals, two cocktails, a brioche entree & the tip.

We had a charming & delightful brunch experience at @lebutterblume_mtl. A cute & lively destination, offering brunch on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays that is sure to impress. The periodically changing menu at Le Butterblume is a testament to creativity, featuring intricate & innovative dishes showcasing fresh ingredients that burst with flavor. We especially enjoyed the pumpkin burnt cheesecake-a delightful sweet dish that perfectly encapsulates the flavors of the season. Rich & creamy, with a beautifully charred top that added a depth of flavor. The spiced caramel cream infused each bite with warm, inviting spices. It was topped with sweet & salty pumpkin seeds that provided a wonderful crunch & balance, & a buttery crumble enhancing the flavor profile of the dish. The salmon & spinach feuilleté beautifully combined flaky pastry with rich, tender salmon & vibrant spinach. Covered with a creamy béchamel sauce & a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. During our visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the super-fast & friendly service. We were in & out within just 40 minutes, which is a remarkable feat considering the quality & attention to detail in each dish. The staff was attentive & welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that made our brunch even more enjoyable.

This is a neighborhood GEM. I travel extensively & get to try lots of places. They do a nice job with wonderful flavor combinations. Had a delightful small lunch with the rhubarb & cheese, pea soup & carrot drink. The rhubarb jam is an absolutely memorable winner. I would recommend & will be back.
