I love BBQ. This place has great BBQ. It's a definit must try.
With a wide range of items it was difficult to pick just one
main dish. So, I picked one & my husband picked something else. I chose the brisket sandwich with a side of french fries & coleslaw. The brisket was tender & juicy. The bun, seems like it was a brioche bun, had tons of brisket with a thin layer of pickles. The french fries were homemade & seasoned to perfection with a little bit of a spice. The coleslaw however crunchy, have absolutely no taste. Some salt, pepper, & even some vinegar or mayonnaise would have been very helpful. Next time we eat there I will not order coleslaw. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Again the brioche fun was loaded with pulled pork & a light barbecue sauce. He selected as his two sides, potato salad & brussel sprouts. Everything that he had was absolutely delicious. I have to try his stuff too.
Service was amazing. The staff was so friendly & helpful. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was inside the restaurant was a little too warm for my liking, so we sat outside in the back under the trees.
Would I go back? Absolutely I can't wait.
Best rub in the city/province/world & they put it on everything. Even the fries! They the freshest tasting habanero sauce with a tolerable spice level. The mustard sauce is a close second, but all their sauces are incredible.
Small cozy restaurant, server was very friendly. We had the 4 rib plate each which was a generous portion of fall off the bone, perfectly smoked ribs with a wonderful sauce. Sides potato salad, Brussels sprouts & coleslaw. Sides were hand prepared & extremely good.

Smelled disappointment from the second we walked in, or more accurately didn't smell any of the titular boucane. Served tepid water & told no room on terrace in spite of our birthday reservation. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks, mine had particles floating in it from what I hope was just a dirty glass for my 14$ single shot of bourbon. Waited another hour for the food, so had plenty of time to appreciate the poorly lit & dirty bathrooms. Eventually were given a seat on the terrace & made to stand there while they cleaned it. Brisket burnt ends as others have said are not burnt or ends or glazed, dry & taste boiled. Chicken dry, underseasoned, & definitely not or poorly smoked (where even is the smoker in that miniscule kitchen), ribs were fine but laughably small, sides underseasoned, BBQ sauce watery & sugary, didn't bother with dessert. Staff were disorganized & management seemed to sit around drinking. All in all a disappointing excuse for a so called smokehouse which it clearly is not, just a mediocre, cramped BBQ joint. Nowhere near worth the money & definitely not worth the ridiculous wait. After working in the industry for many years I know a poorly run place when I see it. Do yourself a favor & hard pass.
What a sad disappointment. Soooo many things that it would take forever to list. The Beef brisket burnt ends are not burnt & not ends .. just small chunks of brisket with a splash of sauce on them. Not even close to being crispy or burnt & definitely not ends. This was at one point, a shining star restaurant for southern style bbq. Sadly, now it's no longer a star but a frowning moon. We would not recommend this restaurant.
Wow wow wow & wowwww! Le service était excellent & accommodant, la serveuse était souriante & était très sympathique. La nourriture était succulente. Je suis un grand amateur de côtes levées & elles étaient parmi les tops que j'ai mangé. La cuisson était très bonne, la sauce parfaite & les côtes étaient charnues. Mon seul regret est que j'habite à Québec & je ne pourrai pas revenir aussi souvent que j'aurais aimé. Mais je vais très certainement revenir!!
Sueper ambiance & la bouffe est juste A1. Belle grosse portion, les wings sont succulentes ainsi que les sauces. Les burgers sont excellentes, les frites sont divines. Belles grosses crevettes bref, tout le monde (5 personnes) a été satisfait de notre sortie au Boucan!
Très joli petit restaurant en terme de décoration. Service rapide au début mais après nous avons attendu vraiment longtemps pour nos plats... Burgers très bons, dommage que la sauce soit en extra pour les frites. Salade de choux pas assez assaisonnée, un peu décevante. Prix raisonnable. Serveuse très sympathique!
I liked : -the Mac n cheese -the poutine -the ribs & the sauce that came with it -the shrimps I didn't like: -the chicken wings (the rub had a strong taste of cinnamon & an overpowering sweetness)
