I love BBQ. This place has great BBQ. It's a definit must try.
With a wide range of items it was difficult to pick just one
main dish. So, I picked one & my husband picked something else. I chose the brisket sandwich with a side of french fries & coleslaw. The brisket was tender & juicy. The bun, seems like it was a brioche bun, had tons of brisket with a thin layer of pickles. The french fries were homemade & seasoned to perfection with a little bit of a spice. The coleslaw however crunchy, have absolutely no taste. Some salt, pepper, & even some vinegar or mayonnaise would have been very helpful. Next time we eat there I will not order coleslaw. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Again the brioche fun was loaded with pulled pork & a light barbecue sauce. He selected as his two sides, potato salad & brussel sprouts. Everything that he had was absolutely delicious. I have to try his stuff too.
Service was amazing. The staff was so friendly & helpful. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was inside the restaurant was a little too warm for my liking, so we sat outside in the back under the trees.
Would I go back? Absolutely I can't wait.

I chose here because of its high score.
The napkins burger was delicious & it came with tasty fries.

But, the quality of Wings & brisket were not good. The brisket burnt end was dried & not tasty. Wings are very normal. For their portions, their prices were unfair & expensive.
Service was not good, very late responsive while only two tables inside were occupied & a few outside.
Old & dirty menu gives you bad feelings from the beginning.

I love BBQ, I adore it, but this time I felt regret that why I didn't choose sushi today 😭

Trying to discover new BBQ places around Montreal, found this one through Google search. Small restaurant but big flavours! Pulled pork sandwich was good. Potato salad was the best I ever had in a restaurant thus far. Wings were tasty on their own. I recommend reservations because it is a small place. I only gave 4 stars because the fries were ordinary. Other than that, a surprisingly tasty restaurant despite the decor & size! Will definitely go back!

Amazing BBQ. The chicken & rib combo the 100% the way to go. The cocktails were perfectly made, the dessert (bacon brownie!) was delicious, & the service was top notch.

Delicious BBQ! We got the pit boss platter to share & everything was very good. Service was fast, but felt a little rushed when we were placing our order. The place feels run down, specially the washroom. It puts gas station toilets' reputation as the dirtiest & most run down washrooms to shame. Food is good, the rest not so much.

Smelled disappointment from the second we walked in, or more accurately didn't smell any of the titular boucane. Served tepid water & told no room on terrace in spite of our birthday reservation. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks, mine had particles floating in it from what I hope was just a dirty glass for my 14$ single shot of bourbon. Waited another hour for the food, so had plenty of time to appreciate the poorly lit & dirty bathrooms. Eventually were given a seat on the terrace & made to stand there while they cleaned it. Brisket burnt ends as others have said are not burnt or ends or glazed, dry & taste boiled. Chicken dry, underseasoned, & definitely not or poorly smoked (where even is the smoker in that miniscule kitchen), ribs were fine but laughably small, sides underseasoned, BBQ sauce watery & sugary, didn't bother with dessert. Staff were disorganized & management seemed to sit around drinking. All in all a disappointing excuse for a so called smokehouse which it clearly is not, just a mediocre, cramped BBQ joint. Nowhere near worth the money & definitely not worth the ridiculous wait. After working in the industry for many years I know a poorly run place when I see it. Do yourself a favor & hard pass.

What a sad disappointment. Soooo many things that it would take forever to list. The Beef brisket burnt ends are not burnt & not ends .. just small chunks of brisket with a splash of sauce on them. Not even close to being crispy or burnt & definitely not ends. This was at one point, a shining star restaurant for southern style bbq. Sadly, now it's no longer a star but a frowning moon. We would not recommend this restaurant.

The food is ok but can't give more than 3 compare to other restaurant. Service was good. I would save 5 star for the restaurant with very clean restroom & other criteria. Overall if you crave bbq & you are in this area why not to try?

Got the butchers platter - ribs were great, chicken was dry, pulled pork was good, sides were okay. It fills a BBQ craving but it's not the best I've had.

Deliocious BBQ ribs, excellent potato salad & other side dishes. While my dinner guest & I enjoyed our meal in a very comfortable nook at the bar we also had the pleasure of listening to some great rock & alternative music from the 80's & 90's. Would recommend Le Boucan for a quiet date night or family dinner or group of friends out for an extremely well priced & delicious dinner.

We came for the ribs & were not disappointed! Fall off the bone & tender. The BBQ sauce was insane. Highly recommend the potato salad as well! The server was so nice & although she was brand new & still learning she had the greatest personality & for sure will become a great server!

We had a wonderful time at this little restaurant. It is a diner-style spot where you walk in & enjoy the spirit along with the food.
The food was fantastic! You need to like BBQ. The pulled pork poutine was incredible as well as the veggie poutine option.
Super happy to have eaten here!!!

Première fois au Boucan & je n'ai pas été déçu !


Le burger 5 napkins était décadent à souhait (& pas facile à manger proprement) avec 2 boulettes de boeuf, du bacon, des oignons frits, du fromage & de la sauce BBQ. Les frites & la salade de chou était très bonnes aussi !

Service rapide, efficace.

Plusieurs plats intéressants, notamment leur sandwich au poulet à la sauce bbq blanche. Endroit très bruyant, musique à tue-tête. Réservation impérative.

Toujours heureuse de recommander les restaurants qui m'ont plu & de m'abstenir de commenter ceux qui m'ont déplu mais quand tu réserve deux semaines à l'avance & que tu te retrouve sur la terrasse par averse & qu'il te pleut dans le dos...

Les ribs de ma soeur & de mon père n'étaient même pas défaisables avec couteau & fourchette.

...pour un anniversaire c'est très décevant.

Le reste de la carte est bien. Sauce BBQ très bonne. Service courtois. Cocktails très bien fait, carte étendue.

Je n'y retournerai pas. Trop de restos magnifiques à Mtl pour y retourner.

Great comfort food. The small backyard terrasse is very intimate & inviting with a nice mix of shade & sunlight. The staff is friendly & the food is delicious. The menu needs to be updated as some items have been discontinued, but we were kindly informed of this & offered alternatives, which I thought was nice of our waitress. The chicken sandwich with white BBQ sauce was tasty & the chicken wings & BBQ mustard sauce were finger-licking good (literally!) The alcohol is a bit on the pricy side for the size, but I will certainly be going back for some ribs! They score extra points with me for the neat, original website.
